My sister does therapuetic massages for horses at a handicapped riding stable in Mich. When she comes over she applies the same principles to the dogs for doggy massages. Raven relaxes so quickly that she literally melts into a puddle at her feet.
Merlin just moans in sheer delight and falls asleep.
Strider....wel l she can't get Mr Hyper to stand still long enough to see what he would do.

With Spike it is under either ear or the back of his neck and between his shoulder blades. When he is starting to zoomie I will grab and massage his shoulder blades and he totally forgets he was getting ready to tear up the living room. He slowly slides to the ground you can almost hear the *sigh* LOL

Sasha loves to have her chest scratched!  :)  Tummy rubs usually result in crazy puppy in our house!  :D

Riley LOOOOOOVES tummy rubs (Swissys are notorious for assuming the tummy rub position!  :D ).  He also loves when I scratch his chest - he gets this glazed look in his eyes showing how relaxed he is!

Zeus is all about behind the ears, Apollo loves a good belly rub, and Onyx we are finding loves the armpits! ( ?? )

Mysti the cat loves her eyebrows rubbed, but Stitch, our Rottweiler disguised in cat fur, loves a belly rub as well.
