Pippin gets the "big snip" in the morning...
« on: September 18, 2005, 05:11:27 pm »
Please send good energy & prayers for my little boy, Pippin who will be neutered tomorrow morning...I know he'll be fine but I always worry myself senseless when any of my critters have to be put under for surgery....I'm also having him microchipped at that time....He doesn't know what's coming...The poor sap!

Give Pippin a big hug from us.  Will he have to stay overnight?

No, thankfully I'll be able to bring him home tomorrow afternoon.

Lots of hugs for Pippin! Don't worry momma he's a big boy. He'll do just fine. Is it with a laser?

Ty everyone!...I was amazed at the number of well wishing for my little boy!!...Ty!...Ty!!!...Pippin weighed a little over 63 lbs. last week...he'll be 7 months old tomorrow...Sam my is at 110 now at a little over 1 yr... & weighed 43 lbs. at 14 weeks so you never can tell...Jackie's dogs are on the smaller side of standard so Pippin will not be a big Pyr...Unless he gets some kickback from a mutant monster gene...lol!
No, no laser...My vets are "country vets"...They're good & combine a great deal of knowlege with some good ol' fashioned comman sense but I don't think they do the laser neuter yet.
Tina, do you think that's the reason why Samson practically breaks his neck (& mine) to get into the vet's office AFTER his neuter?...I mean, he got fixed & after that was all about getting in that door...Way more so than before...I thought he was just not right!...lol!
Again, ty everyone!...I can't hardly wait until he's back home tomorrow though!

K...I got him dropped off at the vets...I took him back to the kennels myself as he has never been in a crate or anything like that...He looked so confused with all the barking (were probably only 5 dogs there but it sounded like 20) & being left there...Broke my heart. :'( I then got home & took Samson for a walk because he was whining & scratching at the door when I left with Pippin...Sammy has NEVER been a whiner & never scratched at a door when we left so I felt bad for him too....I'll be able to bring Pippin home after 4 p.m....He'll be minus a couple parts, microchipped & kennel cough vaccinated...I made sure they specifically noted I DID NOT want his dewclaws removed...I am having the pre surgery bloodwork done & the heart ecg or whatever it's called so I think he'll be fine but I am still feeling worried...I just can't wait until it's done!!!
