Glad to hear Blair is okay.  Jeanne are you okay?

If we don't hear soon, I'll give her a call.

Well, I made it through another one. We were without power for about 12 hours: 5:30 a.m. Sat. to 5:30/6:00 p.m. Then, my internet wasn't working 'til just now. I got some ceiling damage from water leaking through where the tarp blew up (see picture), but everything is tacked back down now. I guess I'll have to call the insurance adjuster again, but I'm just glad everyone made it through safe. I've been cleaning like a madwoman since the power came back on. With 6 dogs and 11 cats in the house, you'd think the hurricane came inside!!

Thanks for thinking of me! Can you believe we still have 2 whole months left of hurricane season?? Let's hope the waters stay calm out there. I can't handle much more of this.

Hi JJ,  I am so glad you are fine.  During Ivan I had the ceiling comming down in three places.  You feel so helpless just watching it fall off.  Your looks like it may dry out and be able to be repaired and not replaced.  I don't even want to think about the next two months.  I told my husband we need to paint a nice landscape in the back side of our boards and just leave them up.  A place off the cost is starting to look good.  I know I will never leave but it is getting very old getting ready for 5 hurricanes during the past 13 months.

I am so thankful that all of our BPOers made it through Rita safe and sound!!

I'm with you Jeanne - hurricane season can't be over soon enough.  I'm headed to Ft. Lauderdale in late Oct. and I'm worried that I'll be stuck in a hurricane a this rate.
