That is WONDERFUL news.

I'm sure your vets have told you, but in case they have not, a dog can lose over 50% of kidney function and still create normal values.

If this were my dog I would consider doing research on diets that enhance and support kidney function, and also supplements for same.

You might contact Lew Olson, at Bnaturals.com.

She is a diet expert, and has some really great supps too.
Thanks for the advice, I've already started to research diets. By the way did you catch the post where my husband and I were betting on your gender?? I told him you were too smart to be a guy!!!(honest I'm just kidding- no offense Tusla's dad, Pupdaddy and all the guys!!!)

His little tail is crooked from being broke in the kennel before we got him and it looked like a little whirlybird spinning because he was wagging so hard when he saw Rocky coming in!!!!!!! I took pictures of rocky w/ his shaved front legs he looks like he's doing a bad poodle imitation. :o

Nobody deserves it more Red. The help and time that you are willing to give everyone here is invaluable. Take the credit, it is certainly due.

I am so glad Rocky's home!  When Roxy spent 5 (very long and very expensive) nights at the Animal Emergency Center, it seemed like and eternity.  Roxy too, looked like a poodle; poor thing was shaved in the most random places and had patches of fur missing everywhere. We didn't care though; we knew it had to be done in order for her to make it through her ordeal.  Hopefully Rocky's fur will grow in a little faster than Roxy's did!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Stephanie & Roxy

Okay here it comes ---- meet Rocky the Poodle (Pyrdle????????) :o ::) ;D
He's eating well, drinking alot of water, but I'm okay with that for now as I want to keep flushing his kidneys and his urine is more yellow. He gets checked at his vet tomorrow to see how he's doing off the iv's.  Meanwhile - he sure makes one ugly poodle!LOL ;)

I am so glad he is home and feeling better. Just think of his shaved parts as armbands or bracelets :)
