Easy Walk harness--update!
« on: March 11, 2006, 01:55:02 pm »
A few days ago I had asked about Gentle Leader making a harness. Well we bought one for Lucas and I am so thrilled with the results! I used to dread walking him because he would pull me down the sidewalk, choking the entire way. Using this harness is like flipping a switch. He immediately stopped pulling and we just WALKED. After our first test run he was so happy...I think he likes it as much as I do. I can take him anywhere now! Whoever invented this thing deserves a medal!!!  :D

That's awesome!  That will likely translate to more walks which is even better!

Heck Yeah!!!
Will and I bought two of these things today for our worst pullers, Leeloo (Great Dane) and Rushmore (a 20 lb terrier).
We just got back from our FIRST WALK EVER where we could control Leeloo. Seriously. Normally it is just not safe at all to attempt to walk that girl. She still pulled a little, but it was a huge improvement. She was actually responsive instead of oblivious to me. I think a few more walks and she'll be perfect. I was very very happy, and so was she! It did rub her a little under one armpit so I am going to try to get the adjustment better next time.

Rushmore was polite for the first time in his life, and walked right alongside Will which was simply astonishing. Normally he is a dog who has his two front feet completely off the ground for the majority of the walk. And today he was the perfect gentleman.

This is great news for our dogs!!!! :D Now they can enjoy more walks!!!
