You should deffinately call the pet store and see if they will special order anything for you, or at least ask what brands they carry.

One option is having it delivered from the internet, but that is not a great choice because shipping it really expensive.

Canidae is the better food for a young growing newf.
eukanuba is to rich.
get the canidae; if free shipping go for it.
many newf owners know their lines and how they grow.
specifically the brands some of us listed are best with our breed.
let us know how it goes.
innova evo or something like that after the innova, is a really good food to.

Canidae is a great food :)

Get the regular canidae, not the platinum. The platinum is formulated to old or overweight dogs; the regular is for all life stages.

Also, don't ever be afraid to ask questions on BPO. There will always be someone to answer them :)

Hey This may sound crazy, but I found some of the best brands at a feed store.  Use the Store Locator on the website for the food you are interested in.  I found out about the feed store that carries good stuff, by doing this.

Example: Like for Canidae http://www.canidae.com:591/canidae-retailers/search.htm

Innova: http://www.naturapet.com/display.php?d=stores-tab

Chicken Soup: http://www.chickensoupforthepetloverssoul.com/ChickenSoup/cslocator_distributors.php

Hey SAR, can you PM me that lists, I want to know what you recommend also.. Thanks, Brandon

Hi Everyone.  This is my first post here, but I'm sure many of you will recognize me from NN  :D

We have three Newfs and our original two (Mira and Molly) have been raised on Canidae or Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul (Adult).  Canidae is excellent...an d is easy on their digestive systems since it has probiotics and enzymes to break down the food for better absorpsion of nutrients.  The CS is also excellent, but you have to introduce it slowly.  After the pup is used to it...you'll have no digestive issues.  Ours love them both.

All of our dogs...all eight Goldens, one Lab and Three Newfs now eat Canidae.  But I would not hesitate one second to use the CS.  They didn't do well on Wellness, didn't do well on Nutro, and Molly came to us eating Eukanuba.  She did awful on it...IBS...but once we switched her to Canidae all has been great.

Since using the two foods above, we've had no digestive, skin, ear, growth, or allergy related problems.

As you can see, I HIGHLY recommend both of them!!

not to mention.. your pup will p'bly poop less on canidae... so if she still potties in the kennel.. it'll be less to clean up...  :o

and uhm.. is Canidae a publicly traded company (no they're not)? cuz w/ all of our $ going to them, i'd like to make some back!!!

I so am glad to hear that she has moved into your bedroom and things are going well!

Now, do you have any pictures you can post of her? :)
