R.I.P. Poppy :'(
« on: October 14, 2005, 09:58:22 am »
Today we found the body of my cat, Poppy. We think he may of been hit by a car and had ran into the woods shocked, the woods are across the street. He has been missing for about a week now.

R.I.P. Poppy, you were my baby boy! You definatly had personality and it made you so special, you were unique and that's why I loved you so. I'll always remember how you became my bathroom buddy and I could never go to the bathroom without you, how would stand guard over me in the bathtub, when I was upset or sick and would cry myself to sleep you were right next to me purring, how you were always in my lap or on top the comp. when I was on it, how even if I was only at school you treated me like you hadn't seen my in years and would happily kneed my shoulders as I said hello to you. I always thought you were my angel, now you really are. I love you Poppy and always will.

These are some of my favorite pics of him.

I'm so sorry!!!  I dread the day when my kitties die,  I have had Boo for 9 years and he was an inside cat for 7 of them.  Now that he's outside I worry more, but he's happier now so I guess that's the tradeoff.  I hope you find happiness in the good memories you have of Poppy.

So sorry dobergirl,

I remember when I lost my first Turk she developed lymphoma and died when she was 9. Best cat I ever had, used to play fetch and lay across the top of a door swinging it open at shut. Sometimes she acted more like a dog than a cat.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Poppy was beautiful.

I am so sorry to hear that  :'(

The loss of a pet is never easy, and I hope you can take some comfort in knowing that she is in a happy place now with all the catnip and tuna she can eat.

That last photo of Poppy is outstanding. Print it and hang it on the Fridge so you never forget. Kiss her as you walk by, and Duck when she takes a swipe at you.
I lost my cat, Gus, in one of my divorces. I thought he would commit suicide living in that house.
Instead, I heard that he was doing great, and enjoying all his new friends.
