Pictures of my new foster- any ideas??

Hey everyone-

I had taken a break from fostering for awhile- but looks like we're back in! I visited this girl at the Humane Society a few times before taking in her in as a foster. She is gorgeous, but what breeds do you think she is?  I came here to the big dog experts! I definately see Great Dane, and I think Greyhound. Anyone have any ideas? She is 28 inches at the shoulder, and appears underweight at 74 lbs. Her name is Maggie and   she's a gem!

I agree, dane.  The other message board that I lurk more than post on is a rescue based in Texas. They often talk about "Texas Teacup Danes", that end up considerably smaller than breed standard and are a product of the BYB there. In any case, no matter what she breed she is, she is also lovely. Good luck with fostering her.

I see dane and maybe catahoula.  But she could be all dane.  She does look young though.  Very pretty.  Can I have her?

Catahoula came to mind when I saw the pics, too.  But I see mostly dane in her, if not all.

Thanks everyone- she does have a more narrow nose than a Great Dane, but with poor breeding . . who knows.  Wow- those Catahoulas are beautiful! I see the pattern is very similar to hers. Hard to believe any of those are running loose in my area (rural NW Ohio) breeding at will, lol!  But there is certainly a similarity!  Maggie is two years old. She will be on Petfinders very soon with Purebred Rescue Organization. ( Yes they rescue mixes also ) Her next stop after recovering from surgery here is to prison for some training, probably 6 weeks.  Then hopefully she will be adopted in time for the holidays. . wish us luck!
