Update/info on the Katrina dogs from the "OMG this is so sad Post"

Hey thought that I would put this in this area. Here is the emial that I got from the Edmonton Humane Society, it seems like a lot of people know about this situation. 

Hello Nina,

Thanks for your concern.  I was part of the team that went to Louisiana last month to participate in the animal rescue effort, and it is devastating to think that some of “our” animals ended up in that situation.

The animals have been seized from that property, and most are being cared for by the North Central Arkansas Humane Society.  The 50 dogs that were specifically from the Katrina disaster are going to be transferred to the For Pits Sake rescue group.  If you are able to, I am sure that either of these organizations would be very grateful for donations to help care for these dogs.  You can donate at http://www.forpitssake.org and at www.pawsandhan ds.org/  (for the North Central Arkansas Humane Society).

I am so glad myself to hear that news. A huge wave of relief went through my body when I heard that. Now they are safe and sound and getting the proper care that they need.
