allergy to collars?????????????

each time i have a collar on angel , she breaks out in little red bumps on her neck and hair is thin ,  she doesnt wear a collar a while,  and the red bumps quit... i know its not flea allergys she is on k9 advantix so shes flea free  ;D.. what could cause those red bumps on my poor baby? when i take the collar off her she is kicking  where it was..

What kind of collar is it?  If it's a nylon there might be an irritant that got in there and is causing a reaction.  Sanity wears a rolled leather collar, which works out awesome for him.

yea its nylon  :( my poor angel , she already deals with demodectic mange from time to time now this :(

Try the rolled leather.  Several reasons.  One it lets air through, two it's natural material, and three it won't trap anything under it.

Hemp is another option- it's nonallergenic and lightweight and washable. My landlords run this company out of their home here in Nashville and we use their stuff- www.earthdog.c om.
I think they were inspired to make hemp stuff so that allergic dogs could still have cool stuff!
they have some crazy designs and plain solid colors too.

Oh cool, I didn't realize there was anyone else in TN on BPO! One of my best friends used to live in Fayetteville!

The collars are in the $18 to $24 range for the bigger sizes, the solid colors are a little cheaper than the fancy designs.

cool  ;D i like it , we should set up a doggy playdate some time and let our big pawed babies meet  :) dog , do you know petersburg? thats like 13 miles north of fayetteville  :)
