So. Cal November playdate
« on: October 20, 2005, 06:49:06 am »
I was thinking about the 2nd playdate the we are going to have in So. Cal and was wondering if anyone was interested in changing the venue?  I have to drive anywhere but love weekend get-aways so I don't mind.  ;) I know that there was talk about meeting in Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo? What do you think? Would anyone be interested or do you want to stick to Hunington Beach?
Hugs,
Jaime

We are so excited to have another big paws play date!  Sasha had so much fun last time!  I would like to throw out a vote for Santa Barbara--there is a great dog beach with tons of free parking and an off leash dog park too.   :D

I guess I don't mind wherever it is.  Although depending on how far away it is, I may or may not be able to go this time.  Business will start picking up come Nov., so the closer the better for me, only b/c I probably can get a few hours free, but not the whole day once you add in drive time.

I guess I would have to look on a map and see how far away Santa Barbara is (still not familiar with all these San towns).  It may be feasable, we'll have to see.

I don't mind where we have it, I just want them all to get together again :)
I'll also throw in a vote for either the Santa Barbara dog beach or dog park.  Would be fun to try different places each time we get together.

Y'all know that the one in Long Beach is open daily now too, instead of just one day a month?

Ok...so here is my thought. I wanna go everywhere and LOVE taking Bear with me on drives. Since it seems as though the majority want to keep the playdate in Hunington Beach then I think that is best. November 12 or 19?? I can't remember what we decided but either is great for us. As for other travels...I guess that Baileyboy and Jessdryden and I will be the crazy travelers.  ;D

So, who is in for the 12 or 19??

We're up for that!  :) Both dates work for us, but I think the 11th is a holiday (and so might be a busier weekend).  What date works for everyone else?

I was talking to hubby about this last night and we are thinking maybe we can go! Our anniversary is on Nov 11th and we wanted to go somewhere anyway so maybe we can make a weekend trip out of it. I have some questions though. Is it an all day thing or just a couple hours? Will there be any skin kids there? Do we need to bring anything? Will it be cold? Are there any dog friendly hotels around there? And we've never been there so we will probably get lost! I looked it up on mapquest and it said it would take us 6 hours to drive there, but sometimes they are wrong. Do you really think it would take us that long? Thanks for any replies!
