I'm sad too, it was so much fun last time.
I could do Saturday in Santa Barbara if that works for some people.

Where is Hendry's beach?  Is that the one by Summerland?  How busy is it (considering dog flu)?

There is a horse corral next to our house in Palos Verdes, I could see if our neighbor would let us borrow it for a few hours (providing she hasn't moved her horse in it... ;D)  It's not huge, but it would keep the dogs contained and it would just be us!

I'm in for Saturday in Santa Barbara. Saturdays work much ,much better for us. And of course, if there a beach that makes it even better.  ;D

Hendry's is actually in Santa Barbara (about 10 min from downtown).  There is always a cluster of 5 or so dogs right at the entry, but then it spreads out.  We haven't heard anything about canine influenza in this area.  The beach area is pretty big, so we could probably have an area mostly to ourselves.  There is also a huge off leash dog park nearby (Elings park).  We could go there and basically just be us if the beach seems too risky.

The corral also seems like it might work out--any horses yet??

I don't know.  I'm at the cabin in Northern Calif. and will go home on Wednesday....I can check then.  The good thing is that our city doesn't have lease laws so we can take a walk on the horse trails.

Santa Barbara sounds good too......

Either is great and even if your friend does have the horses in it Bear will be in heaven. He LOVES horses.

SB is fine. Ventura Harbor is closer. Good beaches, free parking and several pup frendly eateries.

Ok....it is Wednesday and the weekend is near. Where is the meet-n-greet? LA? Ventura? Santa Barbara?

Okay, I vote for Santa Barbara.  :) What location do you other southern California big paws vote for?  Sasha can't wait to see her pals and meet new doggies too! :)

Why not each pup pick all locations that are ok. The ones with the most votes is IT. If not enough ( at least 5 or 6) want any one place, then cancel 'til next time.

Okay....just to let you all know, Bear, Michael & I will not be making this get together because Bear is taking his TDI test on Sunday so we need to practice on Saturday. ;D We will probably be going to Santa Barbara on the 26th to hang out with Jessica & Susan though for anyone who wants to meet us.

We'd love to meet you Fleugle and Cassie!  ;D

Well, we won't be able to go this time  :'(.  I again have dogs staying at the house (Mac, the great dane that came with us last time, and his little sis a cocke spaniel puppy) and they are going home tonight or tomorrow morning.
