I know....I'm so sad. Where exactly is San Pedro in relation to Hunington Beach Mari?

It's at the end of the Harbor Freeway (110);  probably 45 minutes north of Huntington Beach.  If you guys are at all interested, I'll go check it out.  I haven't been there for months just because I don't take Cowboy places where I have to worry about mean dogs picking on him.  (I know, I know!!! I'm an over protective mother!!!)

Okay...I'll go check it out today.  In the meantime, here's the website:
http://www.dogparks.org/default2.htm

The official name is Knoll Hill Dog Park in San Pedro.

Cowboy and Chester will LOVE doing the research!!! (and putting their smells down first!!!) ;)

 :(

I don't think the long beach dog beach would be good because it is just a small coned off section and we have big pups!!  Not nearly as nice.  And also, not far from huntington beach.  I still want to meet up if other people want to.  i hope we find a good option!  shakes, tom and i miss you guys!

Okay, the boys and I checked out the San Pedro site and it seems fine....clean, covered with wood chips and there is a seperate place for small dogs.  It's just off the Harbor Freeway.  It actually overlooks the LA Harbor and Chester and Cowboy had a great time romping with the 6 goldens who were there.    I do think we should do it earlier in the day, if we can, since dog parks can be rowdy later on a Saturday afternoon.  Just a thought.  There seemed to be a smallish park just across the street if we wanted to do a picnic...

I'm much more comfortable with Knoll Hill (San Pedro) than Huntington Dog Beach right now.  It's actually the closest dog park to my home.  Good suggestion!

I agree with an early meeting time -- before the weekend crowd hits.
The final date with the 19th right???? ???

I just read all the updates on the playdate.  I went to the link Mari posted and noticed that on the 19th from 9am-1pm there is a Holiday Pet Fair.  http://www.dogparks.org/Pet%20Fair/PetFair.html

I'm not sure how large the park is, but it could get pretty crowded with the event going on.

What do you think?

Sunday for me would be iffy.  I also have church, and since it is a farther drive, I wouldn't be able to get there until much later......... ...like 2 ish?  But don't change plans just for me.  Unless I can get my friends to drive again, I'm not big on driving thu LA.  But we'll see.

I don't think that we can make it this time if it is on Sunday because we have work the next day.  :(  Take lots of pictures for us though ok.

How about Santa Barbara (Hendry's beach) on Saturday?  Any takers?  I'm so bummed we can't have a huge doggie get together this time. :(  We'll have to do it again soon!
