New member, New Newfie owner.

Hello everyone.  I have owned my Newfie "Bodie" for about 6 weeks now.  He's a Landseer that is mild mannered but loves to jump and nip when playing.  He lost four teeth in the last 3 days.  My baby is growing up.  Bodie is about 65 pounds right now.

I have two Newfies,  a 3 year old Landseer, Cowboy and an eight month old Brown, Chester  (Chester weighs 84lbs now).  We adore them both!!

They've had their Newfie for 6 weeks...He's not 6 weeks old.

Welcoem to BPO Landseer!...I considered a Newfie for my 2nd dog & ended up getting another Great Pyrenees...New fies are gorgeous silly dogs though from what I see & hear!...I'm Chelle & my big guys are Samson who is 15 months & Pippin who is 8 months...I hope you'll enjoy your time here!!

Always nice to meet another newf on here.  Welcome aboard.  Hi, I'm Karen and have Webster, an almost 12 week old newfie weighs in at 30 pounds and growing fast.

If your newf is six months old that is an average weight, if your newf is five months or less, than that seems heavy depending on the lines your newf is from
for males we follow the ten pound a month rule wich is at five months approx sixty pounds, no more, and less is good
for females it would be up to that but preferably less.
six months up to seventy pounds.
remember
slow growth is best, do not be in a hurry to get them to a hundred pounds. many newfs are at a standstill of ninety pounds until age two.

Thanks for all the wonderfull welcomes!  My Bodie is 20 weeks old now.  He's 65 pounds and growing fast.  He is an extremely good listener for a puppy.  It's hard to have patience sometimes.  He is forever jumping and wrapping his mouth around my wife and I.  I guess I have to remember that 5 months is still a baby.  I will post some pics when I get my digital camera fixed.

P.S.  I think my dog thinks his name is "Bodie......Lea ve it!" LOL

Winslow is close to Bodie in age and weight and man they grow Fast, enjot him thet are sooo much fun
