Sheba new puppy.

Hello everyone,
 I am new to this. I just got a mastif/black lab mix puppy. Her name is Sheba. She is 4 weeks old. If there is anyone that can give me some ideas about how to take care of her so she grows up to protect my children I would love to hear it. I have two other dogs but they were full grown when I got them.

Welcome to BPO.

Don't know how much help I would be to your question.  In my experience, a dog will either be protective or it won't.  I don't know if you can really teach them to be protective, w/o being unneccisarily aggressive.
