they did for hugo.  infact he got bored with the toy long before he ever wore it out.  if you have a strong chewer they would like it.  it was tough for hugo to tear off pieces, but i am sure a larger dog could do more damage.  they come in several different sizes too.  there are ones that are only about 4" big all the way up to about 10" ones i think.  i think it is one of the toughest toys i have gotten.

the tires they can't get their mouths in the center of last longer.  The really big ones turn into road kill in a few days.
