I did a search on Amazon and this book was highly recommended:
Behavior Problems in Dogs (Paperback)
by William E. Campbell

Here's another one by the same author:

The New Better

Behavior in Dogs: A Guide to Solving All Your Dog Problems (Paperback)
by William E. Campbell
It looks like the second one is a newer edition of the first; but both were highly rated.
Hope it helps!

I've looked at the behavior problem book at the Library and seem to remember that it dealt mostly with specific issues such as jumping, barking, etc..

What about any of the Clicker training guides? Since that deals with positive reinforcement seems like it would help boost the dogs confidence.
