Big Paws Little Doe (Picture)
« on: November 27, 2005, 04:57:47 pm »
For the last couple of days I have been busy scanning over 10,000 pictures.  Anyway, I came across these and thought you all might enjoy.  The dogs belonged to our local AC officer and the doe had just lost it's mother to a vehicle.  The  little boy in the second picture is my son Karl (who is now grown and married).

That was wonderful!  Reminded me of this summer when we took the dogs fro a long walk on our back 40 acres, they spooked a doe and as we were walking, I tripped on her fawn.  Well with 3 big dogs and one baby fawn, I was taking no chances so we carried her 2  miles back to the house, kenneled the dogs, took a few pic's, and walked her the 2 miles back to the nest we found her in.  We laid out in the tall hay and waited to see if momma would come and sure enough after some snuffing and grunting she collected her baby.  I will have to find those pic's!
