Plays well with felines
« on: December 10, 2005, 06:22:37 pm »
I can't stop taking pictures of our new little one.  We're so proud, and she's so photogenic.  Here she plays with the cat - I love how she totally understands that the cat is above her in the hierarchy.  She was 20 lbs. at 11 weeks (she's now 13, and I can't wait to see how much she weighs tomorrow at the vet).  She has this lovely, mellow, attentive personality; I've never seen a puppy so calm and well-behaved.  Her name could be:

Margot
Daisy
Gracie
Indy
Greta

Any thoughts?
Am I the only one that Tivos dog shows and watches them again?

You're right!  Gracie is my favorite, and my boyfriend is campaigning for Daisy.  They sound somewhat similar, so right now she's responding to both Gracie and Daisy.  I feel she's my dog, so my name, but this was a really big concession for him - he is NOT a dog person and it took a long time to break him down.  He's happy now, of course; I think he expected accidents all over the house and dog bites all over his legs. I guess I could at least concede the name to him. We only have a couple more weeks before I have to get her tags!

I was going to say I like Indy, but it sounds like you already have made your choice.   ;D

What's her personality?  I always think somewhat ditzie for Gracie (like Gracie Allen, for us older ones... ;D) and Daisy just seems sweet.  I think they always somehow find their own names!  Welcome, though she's so cute no matter what her name is!  JUST adorable!  MORE pics, please!!

She's so sweet - I do call her Sweet Pea a lot.  :)  I broke my ankle last night (rolled on a chew toy, of course), and she was so worried.  She immediately ran to the door and howled until someone came to help.  So now I feel terrible because I can't walk her or run around with her, but she's so sensitive.  She's just laying next to me on the floor, asleep, until she wakes up then goes and gets herself a bone or kong to occupy herself, then goes to sleep again.  Boy, she was worried last night - I don't know who was crying louder, her or me.

I think the final verdict is Daisy.  It wasn't my favorite, but I'm really just happy that SO is taking an interest.  Now, to order the cutest tag ever:

I think I'm going to be doing a lot of internet Christmas shopping this year, at least until I can walk again.  :(
