It does look funny!  Any other dog would laugh at a Newf "jump"!  But it is impressive to see them airborne!!!

I am always amazed when I see them airborne, it just seems so strange. Beautiful form though.

Onyx does the whole leaping thing...usuall y when we least expect it! I've even seen all four feet off the ground, of course...the landing shakes the ground as an elephant might!

This shot cracks me up too, what is he doing?  Completely airborne!  I know what you mean about landing like an elephant.  Drake hops up and down when I get home and play ball with him.  He just crashes down and it makes a loud thump.  I try to not let him do that too much because I worry about the stress it puts on his doggy body.  Nutty Newfs!!!
