Oh Nina I just read what happened. I don't know what to say except that I am so sorry for all that you've had to endure. Dilbert was a special guy...he caught my attention when I discovered BPO. I will keep you, Tim and Harley in my thoughts and prayers.

That scrapbook will be one of your treasures.  I have one of Rosie and now I have two of Dixie and Sugar Bear.  You will be lost in your memories as you make each and every page.

I am very sorry to hear of poor Dilbert what a tragedy.  Everyone on this board does the very best they can for their fuzzy babies and we have to be able to put our trust in our vets, and to have them mess this up is just awful.

My Harley and I will be thinking about you and your family!!

OMG.  I can't even think about what that must have been like for you to endure.  I am so sorry that you had to witness that.  I guess the only consolation is that you were with him in the end.
My thoughts are with you.

It is very gut-wrenching and does make you angry to realize that your vet gave you bad medical care and also gave you bad advice in Dilbert's emergency.  The E.R vet clinic in this area is horrid.  They constantly are dispensing the wrong advice in the most critical of times.  I have had 2 seperate episodes with them where they gave gravely bad info.  Not saying ALL E.R vets are bad, but maybe they arent as well trained in emergency situations as they are say for preventative or maintence care (shots/non emergency surgeries).  It is very hard to deal with the emotions of knowing that there could have been more done or done differently and Dilbert might still be here.
