How big is your great dane?? Everyone please!

Toester is 35" at the shoulders at a little over 2 years old and about 126. Onyx is the smaller of my three but is the thickest and shes 30" and 115 at not quite a year old Thor is tall and skinny he's 33" and last time I had him weighted he was 110 and very skinny not that I've been fedding him puppy he's picked up a lot of weight and I think around 120 to 130.

Do you guys measure the shoulders when the dog has their head up or down? Not that I have a Dane, but when I measure my dogs' height it changes drastically with the position of their head. Like Nigel is 28 inches with his head hung low, but he's over 29 with his head up.
I'm just trying to imagine how big all these Danes are 'cause they sound huge!!! Like, 38 inches??? Atticus and Tenchi could take over the world!!!

with angels head down she measures 22 1/2 its hard to make her keep her head up  long enough she wiggles so much shes nowhere near as big as everyones danes but shes my little baby just the same

I would do it head up, like in a show stack. I would think that that is the way the standard is measured.

I'm pretty sure when they measure for a dog show or standard that it is from the dog's shoulder down.  They do not include the head's height because it is so variable depending on what postition the dog is in.

Star is about 90lbs, and about 28 inches tall. She's a tiny Dane, but she's got a big heart!

Forgot to add: She's five years old, so this is as big as she's gonna get!

Just weighed Gunther today.  I was off on his weight.  He's actually lost some weight, down to 117, so I'll probably have to increase his food.  I was hoping to not have to do it again, but oh well, maybe he's going thu another growth spurt.

I love hearing how tall everyone is too! Gives me an idea of what to expect! I made a boo boo on Kayzers height he is only 18 inches from shoulder to floor with his head up! But he is 40 lbs

Our Great Dane Leeloo is 30 inches tall.  We don't know how much she weighs yet but I can tell you it is not nearly enough... like maybe not even a hundred pounds  but that will all change soon!

Everybody's Danes are so beautiful!!!

My Thunder is 38 at the shoulders, 3 yrs old last week and just over 140lbs--needs more weight!!

Amy is 26 inches at the shoulder and about 60 pounds!!!   She is 5 months old.  I had a dilly of a time getting her height---she just couldn't stop eating the measure tape!!

malakai is 8 months (will be 9 months in 2 days!)
he weighs 120lbs and is about 32" at the withers

Ok, tonight we measured Samson our foster Dane. He is 31.5 inches... and not really sure on the weight but I can tell you it's a lot more than what I weigh! He's a bit short and wide, I suppose!!

Keeping track of Herbie's weight has been a challenge.  We do it the oldfashioned way by picking up his big butt and standing on the scale.  He is now 10 months old, 110lbs and 32" at the shoulders.  Don't know how much longer we can weigh him at home.
