While sifting through all the post-holiday papers on my desk  I found the information for shangrila on the gold bead question.  The website from the University of Floriday Vet School (they did research on gold beads) has fascinating information on holistic care of dogs as well as suggested diets and alternative methods of treating injuries and sickness.
