Preventing sunburn?
« on: January 20, 2006, 09:10:50 pm »
Luke's nose is black, but the surrounding skin has some pink and white splotches. He's out in the sun almost everyday(san diego sun), sometimes all day when we're working on the yard. Is regular sunblock ok to use on his nose? Is there anything specifically for dogs that I can get to protect his skin? It's just that small area but it's such a sensitive one.

Northern Ontario? I see your point. ;D
How far north? We're headed in that direction this July....but only as far as Barry's Bay(to see family). It will be so nice to take the dogs to a place where they aren't banned or confined!!!  :D

Most sunblocks designed for children should also be safe on dogs. But, they do also have sunscreen specially designed for dogs. Doggles makes one: http://store.yahoo.com/doggles/petsunscreen.html

No I think we are closer to Toronto. If you know were North Bay is we are North of there. About 3 or so hours north. I live in Kirkland Lake which is just off HYW 11.
