This is the first video of Sophie that I have posted.  Sophie and my husband Nick are playing and Nick learns that the Nylabone does not make a very good tug toy.

  I do.  I've been playing since I can remember and now I am also teaching.

I miss my piano.  I played for 18 years and then moved away from home and couldn't take it with me.  I forgot all my notes and keys and timing.  but then I think..."I wasn't that good at it anyway" so I don't miss it so much.  I could never get the timing right and I laid on the pedel like no one's business ... so the whole house shook and the neighbors got the reverb bouncing off their walls.    But it was fun then. 
If you lived close I'd take lessons again.

Aw... thats so sad.  I bet it would come back to you pretty quick.  They have lots nice self teaching books for adults.  They have one called something like 'I took piano lessons as a child, now I want to learn again' something like that...

My college piano teacher actually taught me the most about using the pedal.  And that was even if I was lucky enough to use it... he wouldn't let me touch it until a piece was perfect then I could add it where I felt it was appropriate. Playing slow songs without the pedal was expecially painful.
