Awwww.  Look at the little one that just wants to snuggle with mommy.

I'm curious, is that the color they will stay?  Or is that just how they all turn out and then change over time?

Tina

They are supposed to lighten up as they grow.  I am assuming there are some brindle ones in there, but I can't really tell.  But we are in line for a fawn male so I guess some of those puppys will really lighten up.  The photos I received will be the only ones we get so it will be a surprise when we get to pick him up.

I know, I love how the one pup is up there all by himself getting "mommy time".

Congrats Jacquie!!! I can't wait to see the pups.

As for the color, Tina I think that they are fairly similar colors at birth and the fawns darken and the brindle pattern develops.  The breeders can usually tell which pups will be which but not always. Actually they thought one of Stans litter mates was a brindle but turned out to be a darker fawn.

The worst part is that we can pick one up on Monday but with a 600 mile drive (one way), we will have to wait to leave until Friday after work! That week will drag FOREVER I just know it!

:D  Oh so cute!!!  That is so exciting!!  But since you have to wait you might as well get some good sleep and enjoy the relative peace and quiet because once baby comes life will be very hectic!!

Is your puppy from Flying W?  May I ask how long you were on waiting list for?  Still working on hubby!!

I hope your wait flies by!!

Yes that is where we were on the list.  I sent the original email on July 20 for a fawn male.  The wait is longer for them I believe.  I think FW was the closest breeder to us being in AL.  However, all AM breeders (there are 12 total) have gotten their dogs from Flying W and from the posts I have read on the AM Yahoo group all breeders produce high quality dogs and seem to be warm, caring people.  Some "parents" put their names in at more than one breeder to get the quickest puppy! ;)  I wouldn't have a second thought about getting a pup from any of the breeders.
Good luck with the hubby!  I hope you can get him to look at the photos and letters, etc on the breeders websites.  They really speak for themselves.

Fedricka at Flying W is very busy and is not likely to send more then the initial photo's, but you will see why when you get there. It is a very big farm. However they are really nice people and they were great with me and they still are.

My am from there Goliath is 15 months, 34 1/2 inches at the shoulder, 170 lbs and the biggest lover in the world .... we are completly satisfied!
