It was just 2 days ago when we got Jenny from the Humane Society in Fairport,NY. She was rescued from neglect. She is a very lovely dog who had been through some tough times. When she was surrendered to the shelter, it was unbelievable how severely underweight she was and had dental disease. As a result she has compensating kidney disease, and needs special diet, that is prescribed by the vet, for the rest of her life.
Her health condition didn't discourage us upon making the decision of taking her home. My wife and I just had the gut feeling that she was meant to be with us. She was popular in the shelter among the staff, so they try to keep in touch with us making sure jenny is in a good home-- wherein she definitely is.
Right now, we are working on gaining back her weight so that she will be lovelier than ever. Although it has been a challenge for us getting her along with our Anna, we know they will become the best of friends. Both dogs are gorgeous and well-mannered. Anna has been very submissive to her and so is Jenny. They both love to go for a ride, long walks, and cuddling with me and my wife. We are very lucky to have Jenny in our life!!!
