Please help
« on: March 22, 2006, 02:48:49 am »
This morning I saw Carlos threw up, and i am worried because he does this extremely rarely. I feed him twice a day: in the morning only a little bit just before I go to work and the main meal in the evening. The main meal is 400-500 gr of Purina Pro Plan Junior (because he prefers small crocks) and in the mornings he gets smth else, usually some BARF.
Last 2 evenings he ate more than usually but I didn't get concerned and now I consider a visit to the vet. He is active and happy like usual but the whole thing got me scared since I'm such an over-protective "mom".

Someone has been in this before? Please help me with some advice.
I didn't see him throwing up, I only saw the pile and it was almost half of what he ate last night, not very well digested...

Is it ok or should I really freak out?

Oh if I had a nickle for every time Samson threw up what he just ate!...Just keep an eye on him...If he is eating, pooping, acting o.k. he probably is just fine...Even our pooches get a tummy ache now & again...Not to worry! :)

Thanx, I will keep an eye on him
if anything suspicious, we go to the vet

he's always been so healthy, and that's why i'm so worried...

of course he's got a now toy today, just for being mom's "sweet may-be sick boy"

he's ok, playful and everth
i'll take care not to overfeed him for a day or 2

and definitely don't engage in play after he eats. Bava did that for a couple nights in a row and freaked me out. Only his was like the whole bowl of food back up.
& isn't it amazing how it always looks like they ate 20 cups instead of 4 or 5? :-\ :D

my Nala rarely throws up but I have a rule "if they are playing, eating treats, pooping, and act ok it must be a bug" if it last more than 24 hrs. vet time.
