Puppy names
« on: April 09, 2006, 02:53:06 pm »
OK. now that we finally got the puppy payments straightened out we have to come up with some names.

I really like Sully and my husband likes Jax.

Any suggestions. You can see my other post for pics.

I like the name Sully for a newf.  I know a lab named Jax, so to me it is a lab name.  :-\

Any kind of theme or meaning you want in the name?  I've got a thing for the name Seamus (shay-mus).  I think it would make a great newfie name.  ;)

but if I had to vote I would say Sully.

Someone from another site suggested the name Chaplin. They said he reminded them of Charlie Chaplin b/c of the black and white. I though that was kinda neat.

I like Chaplin a lot. And it does suit him with the black and white. It's different.

Chaplin is ADORABLE!  ;D Even the nickname "Chap" would be cute! We have been trying to think of names for our soon to be pup, too. My dh thinks that Butler names sound good for Newfies & St. Bernards....li ke Ellington, Bentley, Dunfield, Hamilton, Benson, Higgins, Flannigan, Gilman....the list goes on and on.  :-\ I just can't figure out THE name. I'm sure it will come to me....Anyway, I LOVE Chaplin for your little guy. That is TOO cute! ;D I promise I won't steal it!  :D
Blessings!

Yes let it be Chaplin!!! I know 4 Newfies named Sully. The Sire for Copa uses Sully for his call name! His real name is Sullivan.   Chaplin! Chaplin! Chaplin! ;D

Yeah! I am soooooo excited. Today is the big day we pick up Sully (or Chaplin) - I figured we would choose one once we saw him. We leave today after I get off work (around 12:30).

Everyone get ready for some pics. I can't wait to post them.
