It's wonderful when you consider it 'good' news when your daughter wants to get married!
At 28 years old (the groom will be 30 in the fall), it is a good age. Call me old-fashioned (I am!) but I think many people are happier and more stable in a
good marriage. He's wonderful with her and fits in to the family well. She adores his family so I think it's good on all sides.
And yeah, about the wedding planning thing: we already had to clear the air about that. I've told them that no matter what the books say, it's their wedding and they have to do what they want. DH and I had ours and it was fine. I can't think of anything much worse than me barging in there and taking over to do my 'dream' wedding. Could be a nightmare for them!!! So I'll be happy to listen to whining and complaining and will help when asked, but I'm planning on working with Chester and his cart training!!!
