Easter surprise!
« on: April 17, 2006, 12:40:03 am »
My daughter got engaged!! YEA!!  She and her boyfriend, now fiance, have been together for a year and a half and they seemed to know early on that each other 'was the one'!  Wedding plans are pending, but it's just fun to share great news! ;D ;D

Thanks guys!  She has asked if the Newfs can be in the wedding.  Hopefully I'll get Chester trained to the cart....wouldn't it be grand for him to pull a cart pulled with flowers?  Or if she waits long enough, I'll be in the cart!!! :o :o :o

That is so neat to have the Newfs in the wedding!  They're so handsome, they'll fit right in.  Cowboy has his tux on all the time.  How fun!

Well, we have a year locked in!  Fall of 2007!  Now the hard part.  Selecting the place....and it has to be dog friendly!  That will be the REALLY hard thing! ::)

LOLOL I highly doubt that.  Congrats for you!  It's wonderful when you consider it 'good' news when your daughter wants to get married!

It's wonderful when you consider it 'good' news when your daughter wants to get married!

At 28 years old (the groom will be 30 in the fall), it is a good age.  Call me old-fashioned (I am!) but I think many people are happier and more stable in a good marriage.  He's wonderful with her and fits in to the family well.  She adores his family so I think it's good on all sides.

And yeah, about the wedding planning thing:  we already had to clear the air about that.  I've told them that no matter what the books say, it's their wedding and they have to do what they want.  DH and I had ours and it was fine.  I can't think of anything much worse than me barging in there and taking over to do my 'dream' wedding.  Could be a nightmare for them!!!  So I'll be happy to listen to whining and complaining and will help when asked, but I'm planning on working with Chester and his cart training!!! ;D ;D ;D
