How do you know if your dog has a cold?

How do you know if your dog has a cold? My one keeps walking around sneezing and snorting. Now the snorting is something he does when he is excited to see me and then he stops. Right now he just keeps snorting and sneezing. I thought maybe since we haven’t had a lot of rain that maybe the pollen count was high and this might be bothering him. He has an appetite and seems to be himself I can’t figure it out! PLEASE let me know if you have any answers. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL OF YOU DOG MOM’S

Sounds like a potential respitory infection.  Dogs don't get colds the same way we do.
Any other symptoms like runny nose, warmer ears than normal?

Also watch for them to start doing a gagging/coughing sort of thing, don't know how to explain it, but to us it looked like they had eaten/swallowed something and had it stuck in the throat.   As it turned out, the girls both had the canine flu, and that is how it starts.
