I want so badly to go to Omaha, but my manager is going on vacation in a few days, and as I'm 2nd in command I have a lot to learn to run the store and get ready. I have already told him, though, that if something happens (meaning the worst) while he's gone on vacation, I am going and they'll have to figure out how to run the store without the both of us.

I read todays update in the Omaha paper -- sounds like the police are aggressively searching.  That's good to hear.

Jeanne, have you considered going to Omaha for a few days -- it might be easier to cope if you could be closer to Tracy's family?

OH JEANNE!

I've been away for a few days...I'm SO sorry. I'm thinking positive thoughts and just focusing on the fact that your friend is safe. If she was in a bad place, she probably felt as if she had no options, she's probably too scared to show up. But that doesn't mean that she's not safe.

I will be focusing hard, Jeanne. We're all here if you need us, for anything.

Well hopefully being the boss will keep you extra busy!

Jeanne -- any news today?  The Omaha paper doesn't have anything for today.

Still keeping you in my thoughts,
Sarah

I copied today's article in the local paper:

COUNCIL BLUFFS - Council Bluffs police returned to the home of a missing woman Thursday, this time searching with the aid of crime lab specialists.

Bluffs Police Detective R.G. Miller said investigators obtained a search warrant for the house and two cars after the Tracy Tribble's husband, Stan, hired an attorney Thursday morning. Stan Tribble told Miller that he did not want to speak further with him, Miller said.

Miller said he had been in regular contact with Stan Tribble in the search for Tracy Tribble. Stan Tribble was the last person known to have seen her, at 6 a.m. May 3.

Police had gone through the house and cars before to look for clues to the disappearance.

Also Thursday, the Pottawattamie County Attorney's Office formally filed a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault against Stan Tribble in connection with an incident on April 1.

Stan Tribble has said that the couple had a "tiff" the night before Tracy, 35, disappeared and that their three-year marriage had its problems.

In an interview, Stan Tribble's attorney, James Burger, said he would act as a liaison between Tribble and the police. Burger said that Tribble, 39, wants to cooperate with police to find his wife and that Tribble hired him to take care of police and news media inquiries.

How to help
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ʉۢ A new search for Tracy Tribble will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, starting at the parking lot east of 223 Harmony St. in Council Bluffs.
• Anyone with information can call the Council Bluffs Police Department at 328-4764 or 328-5737.
• Find info on the Web at tracytribble.c om

"I think what it comes down to is it's been a lot for him to handle," Burger said of Stan Tribble. "I think he's just looking for someone who has a lot more expertise to manage what's going on."

After being hired, Burger was asked by investigators and the Pottawattamie County Attorney's Office whether police could again search the Tribbles' house at 133 Benton St. and their two cars.

Burger told police that they needed to obtain a search warrant because it would give him a record of the search and because he had just been retained.

After a judge issued the warrant, Bluffs police and members of the Douglas County crime lab went to the house.

Detectives formally interviewed Tribble on Monday, when they recorded his statement at the Bluffs police station.

Because of the ongoing investigation, the search warrant was sealed. Miller, the detective, did not want to comment on the nature of the search.

In the incident that led to the misdemeanor charge filed Thursday, Tracy Tribble had told police that on April 1 her husband grabbed her upper arms and throat, then punched her in the chest, leaving bruises, according to a police report. The couple were arguing about Tracy's having lost her job.

Stan Tribble's attorney declined to comment on the charge. A 2003 charge of domestic assault against Stan Tribble was dropped at Tracy Tribble's request.

Since Tracy Tribble disappeared last week, family and friends have searched area neighborhoods and parks and have distributed fliers. A $75,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the her whereabouts.

Stan Tribble's attorney said his client would like to be part of the family's searches. However, Tracy Tribble's friend Bryon Batchelder of Las Vegas said Stan Tribble has "made no effort to contact the family" and has not participated in any of the family's searches.

Another search is planned for Saturday in the area around the Tribbles' home.

Thanks so much for posting the article. This incident has been on my mind and saddens me greatly! The husband is a total loser and I believe he has the answers to Tracy's disapperance.I work in the news biz and tragically see these stories regularly - makes me sick and angry!
I am hoping with ALL my energy that I am wrong this time and Tracy is in a safe hiding place! My heart goes out to her family and friends and Jeanne of course.
