: What is the most annoying thing your dog does?
: People Whisperer October 29, 2007, 05:46:36 AM
I thought it would be a funny little survey  ;D

I will start...Lily would be hanging out outside and when you let her in she goes straight to the front door, stands there and looks at you like she has to pee REALLY badly. I know it's not true because we got back from a walk 30 min ago. I take her back to the fenced area and she goes straight to the deck and wants to get back in. And she does it again and again and again untill you take her for another walk. Sooooo annoying!!!

Bubba has an internal timer when it comes to mealtimes. As soon as it hit 4pm he starts to pester me. He'll run from me to the potty door back and forth and back and forth staring at me and grunting, hahaaha. The reason he runs to the potty door and back is that when he was still housetraining I used to take him out to potty before and after each meal. So he thinks that if he goes outside and comes back in I'll feed him. LOL He's going to be really screwed up once the clocks go back. LOL

Lola's most annoying trait is her nudging. She does it at times when you least expect it. So if your holding a drink and she decided to nudge you... your going to end up wearing it. LOL

Well, Cabeza is practically perfect, which I think makes his annoying habits even more annoying. You're so used to like, not even noticing him that when he does certain things, you're like, "WHAT?! I HAVE A DOG?! HUH?!"

So, in the car. He SUCKS in the car. He paces and whines and begs for his window to be put down, but then rests his head on yours and pants and whines and pants and whines and...well, you get it...

Hmm...in the middle of the night, if a squirrel has like, peed in the yard, Cabeza cries until you take him out so he can mark the squirrel's pee...

He likes to stand directly in front of you while watching a movie and pant in your face.

Oh, and he licks his feet and legs. That used to be HORRIBLE until I switched his food. Then it stopped, but now its starting again. I can't figure it out. He's on EVO and I don't think its a food allergy. I think he just likes to do it when he's bored. He will also lick the carpet or couch so, I think its kind of the same thing.

Mabel didn't really do anything annoying. She was quite stately and queenly. She did used to do this thing when she first came to us. She could open the gate. She'd open it and get out, and then hide in the bushes overnight. She'd always be on the porch in the morning though. She only did that a few times and then she realized we rocked and didn't want to sleep in the bushes anymore.

Merlin really does nothing that is annoying. You have to be awake to be annoying, and that is a rare occurance for him. The only time he is remotely annoying is if someone is stretched out on the couch at night, and he cannot get up there to (you guessed it) sleep.
Strider has made a career out of annoying. He whines, cries and howls to go outside, even if he was just out 10 minutes before. He announces that he wants back in by alternately throwing himself on the screen door and jumping up and hanging from it to peer in and make sure you are coming. After eating, he must have a human napkin to wipe his face on. He hunts the fish in the fish tank, and flies and creepy crawlies incessantly. He plays fetch 20 hours a day, but only in the house, and if you are too tired to throw, he will make enough noise that you wished you were dead and throw it just so he shuts up. When he decides to take a nap it is generally stretched out across whatever chair you are in, and the fact that you may need to breath is not his problem.
And that is all I can think of right now. Anyone want to adopt?
Stella

HAHAHAHAHH! While this is the most hilarious thing I've ever read, I can assure you all. Stella does not exaggerate. Tis all true.

But garsh he's cute!!!!! And his fur is sooooo silky!

Harleys most annoying habit?  let me count the ways - lets just say he is the MOST annoying animals I have EVER had - its a good thing I love him because hubby would have sent him packing years ago!!

Well there is the mounting...eve rything and yes he is neutered, taking him for a walk around the block can take hours so he can mount the recycle bins, electrical polls, numerous dogs, cat, bunnies, squirrels anything!!

Whining!!! Night and day whenever I leave the room and he can't see me he just plops down and whines and cries drives the family nuts and yes sometimes I have to be where he can't see me!

The internal clock - heaven forbid I miss 6:30 am - 6:00 p.m. or the 8:00 p.m. biscuit!!

If I fall asleep on the couch and it is his bed time he will nudge me to get the couch back and the 1/2 snausage that he gets before bed.

And the most annoying very NEW issue is drooling - now I know many of you have drooling dogs and if I bought a dog that was known for drooling it would be one thing but he didn't drool until he turned 6 years old and its not slingers he just sits and drips (not even after he has water) then my socks get all wet and gross..  Yuck

The one that drives hubby nuts:  He sleeps all day even if we are home - then when we try to sit at night and relax he is a hyper maniac and just barks and barks and barks at hubby!!

Oh well I want to trade him in for a hampster - but as I recall from my earlier years my hampster was a pain in the neck also!!

Lets see. I'll start with Annie. The fact that she is 5 and doing her business in the house is vert annoying. She whines when she wants to get upstairs from the dog den. And she has major drools. She doesn't like to go out when it's raining, so she'll whine until I bring her back in.

Merri has a tongue that can be quite annoying. It is constantly out. So when she is looking at you it's liek she's sticking her tongue out at you and because she won't keep it inher mouth it is always dirty becasue it drags everywhere when she is sniffing. And she absolutly had to destroy and sort of furniture, book, or bedding that is in her path.

Tripper has to be the center of attention. He wants out, he wants in. He wants to go down to the den, he wants to come up. He wants out he wants in and the problem with this is I'm a big suck and obey! Too darn cute I guess and I will one day pay for it I'm sure! And it takes forever for him to eat because he has to see everything that is going on. Takes a bite runs off checks out everthing them comes back for more.

My list would be shorter if I list the things he doesn't do....lol

Wow this post will be very easy to answer for a few members of our crew....lol

Puck...well he will pretty much dislocate your shoulder to play ball by nudging underneath your arm. You have to put him in another room just to shoot pool. He drools all over the table in an attempt to get the balls. When he was younger he use to jump right up on the table.

Farley....FArl ey...oh where do I start with Farley. Pretty much whatever Farley does is annoying. The worst is at night he has to be right next to me. So he runs his head along my back in an attempt to get under the covers too. Not nice at 3 in the morning....the whole cold nose thing.

Rosies most annoying thing is eating the bread off the counter ALL the time b/c we always forget to put it up. Just when you want a midnight snack there is no bread :-\ Plus Rosie nibbles when excited everything and any thing. Including my butt, arm, leg and grocery bags when you come in. I can hardly make it from the front door to the kitchen with everything still in the bag and not hanging out through the bottom of the bag.

god I could go on and on and on but I would hate to overtake the post...lol ::)

I'll start with Copper the 13 yr old .. many years ago someone broke into my apt. and she scared them away by screaming at them .. she screams at all men if they surprise her, and I'm talking about an ear piercing, hair stand on end nails on chalk board SCREAM.  And, she can't quit once she starts .. I have to pick her up and hold her until she zones back into the real world.  Oh, and when she hears a door bell on TV or the radio .. she starts barking and runs to the door - she just knows the pizza person is there with food. (I don't have a doorbell anymore - can you guess why?)

Emmitt - the 7 yr old is probably the most selfish person in the world (whoops I mean doggy)  He has OCD also in that he takes all the toys (not just his) ALL the toys and lines them up across the door way from the kitchen to the den .. in a straight line mind you.  No cat or dog better try to cross.  If Steve or I mess with the toys he straightens them up first with the one you moved then nudges the rest to be sure it's straight.  He's become a party entertainment.  Cop's toys are under our bed .. Sadie's are at the end of the driveway outside (she sneaks them out in the early mornings before Emmitt gets up)

Sadie - the 2 yr old - I'm going to blame on whoever on here helped me keep her out of the cow pastures and answering to her name when I first got her a couple of months ago ... you said when she starts going for the pasture call her name and when she comes to you give her a treat and praise her.  Now, when we're sitting out on the back porch she goes down the drive and up to the fence .. we'll call her name and she comes bounding up the drive back to the porch to get her treat .. within 5 min. if she's still hungry I guess .. she'll wander down the drive to the fence until we call her and she comes running for that treat.. repeat as many times as she wants or I bring her in and feel like watching her pace from the garage door to the porch door .. meanwhile I know the other two dogs are in cohoots with this because now when I call *S A D I E* while we're on the porch both Copper and Emmitt come running for treats too.

Do I have to say it ... DOGS RULE  .. ouch

Grace will hand people her paw until they take it and hold it for a while or until she gets a cramp in her leg.
i thought this would be a cute trick to teach her until she decided to use it over and over and over again at the most unopportune times.
i can be showering and i get paw.  i can be sleeping and i get paw.  i can be cooking dinner and i get paw.   i can be driving and i get paw.  i can be brushing my teeth and i get paw.  i can be sleeping and i get paw.
you get the picture.

I love this thread,,great idea,,I am so glad that others love their fur kids as much as we do.

I'll start with Magic, who really doesn't have many.off the top of my head,,refusal to take pills..and sometimes refusal to come when it's bath time or grooming time on the table..which is weird cause he knows when he's done he's usually going somewhere to visit.

Emma..she's just so special cause she's Daddy's little girl..and thinks she can use that to get out of trouble..Mostl y with her..she makes really disgusting sounds of haawwking up spit in order to do Daddy's hair by licking it into the curls and style she wants it,and hates his idea of combed hair.

Falkor OH where do I begin...he is still the kid in the house and at 20 months old I would have to put his barking at the most annoying...I realize he has important things to say..but if you speak to him ...like we all do to our fur kids...he has always got something to say back...always!!!
At least he doesn't combine it with his next most annoying thing.....um  how do I phrase this..

He is a perv...When my hubby and I are shall I say busy in bed....he watches..he just quietly positions his head on a corner or part of the bed not being used and watches us.

I have to say though..of all the fur kids Falkor is the court jester of the three..always making us laugh out loud.

Great thread

The only thing really annoying my dogs do and its well only one of them is Cujo. He will wait until Im dressed for the day and brush my hair out and looking nice then wait till we get in the car and drool over my shoulder into my car and all over the one side of my shirt. My hair was actually sticking together last week and crunchy because of his drool and it was disgusting and I had to walk around the rest of the day looking like that and today he decided to pull Im not going to take a bath so I got dragged into the bathtub with my clothes still on and got a bath to when I got out and was talking to him about being a good boy he threw up all over me along with drool so I decided to just hop back in the tub with him..lol.. ;D Gotta love it though I  had a blast and thank goodness throw up does not bother me!!

Bodhi is a World Champion Belcher...and he always makes sure to run into the room and do it in your face.  ACK!!  I detest belching....if any person does it around me I am liable to smack them before I can stop myself.  Of course, when my Big Bodhi Baby does it I think it's kind of cute...

I think the MOST annoying thing he does is pummel Stubby, our Corgi mix.  He thinks it is great fun to jump on him and chew on his back.  Poor Stubby....his fur is constantly crusty from Newfie Drool, lol.  Sometimes 'Leave It!' will stop him...but sometimes he just gets too excited and you have to physically pull him off.  I'm sure Stubby can't wait until he gets older and calmer, lol!

BTW....we absolutely have to shut the bedroom door when we are 'getting busy'....we have 6 dogs...it's too much of an audience....no t to mention occasionally one of them will stick a cold wet nose on my husband's backside, LOL!!  Talk about Performance Anxiety!! HAHA!!

Melissa that is too darn funny!!!

OK well Issy is only a pup so where to begin!!!  She has just recently started the paw thing, which I don't get cause nobody has taught her that!!  She has decided that Stone is her toy and she sounds like a freight train running through the house after him!!  When I try to put her on a down stay (I realize she's just learning) when I take two steps back she starts to jump up, so I put her back in position, she does it again and again and....then she thinks it's a game, she'll jump up with her butt in the air like we're playing!  And since I can't let her win the other night I swear we did this for like 20 min!  I'm not trying to get her to stay for long, just long enough for me to back up to the couch and count a slow 10-15.  Oh and apparently the crate is death, even with food in it!

Daphne, well she's special.  She licks.  When she's done licking nine times out of ten there's a big damp spot where she was.  It wouldn't be so bad if she would stay off my couch, but as soon as I walk out the door she's on my couch.  So now I have to remember to always put a blanket on the couch.  She is also still pretty skiddish (I have no idea what was done to her in her past) she's gotten a lot better about it but sometimes I'm feel like, ok you know I'm going to get cup of coffee, you know what that noise is by now you don't have to jump and run!!

Stone, I know he's a cat but he doesn't!!  He's part siamese so he's very vocal!!  When he wants out, he sits at the door and mews, if I don't get up he comes over, sits in front of me, stares at me, and mews (I told you he doesn't know he's a cat) then goes back to the door and will start to howl if I'm not fast enough.  He also does this when he doesn't have any food!!

It's cute yet annoying at the same time...

Rosie and her 6am wake-up calls, even on weekends! Every morning, it's like she has a time-for-pets clock. She gets up, plops her head on my side of the bed, aims her snout [and bad breath] in my face, and sighs so loud you'd think her life was so tragic.

Gwen is constantly in the way.  Not in an "I love you and so I will follow you everywhere you go and always be underfoot" kind of way.  Just in an annoying "Oh look, I just happen to be standing right where you needed to go" kind of way.  And when you tell her to move, she moves right over to wherever you were going to go next.  Also, when she is laying down and you try to step over her, she lays perfectly still until you are stepping right over the top of her and then springs to her feet underneath you causing you great personal damage.

Ranger has to be in the middle of EVERYTHING.  If you are putting together a lovely coffee table from Ikea, his nose will be between the hammer and the nail.  Or the screw and that riduculous L-shaped screwdriver thingy.  Whatever.  If you come over to my house, he will stick his head right in the middle of your purse and have a look around.  He has to sniff each and every library book that I check out as well as all of the mail.  He can not stand not to be involved.  He reminds me of the scene in Lilo and Stitch where Stitch comes into the house for the first time and is wreaking havoc and Lilo says "Look how curious the puppy is".  Hah, understatement .  He also uses the couch and my bed as a napkin.  Whenever I go to bed at night, the mattress is pushed about half a foot off the box spring from him running up and down wiping his face on it.

Butt is an angel ;)The only annoying thing he does is jump on my bed and roll around after his bath.

Tub,is there anything he does that isn't annoyng??? One of his favorite things to do is jump in the pool and then come wipe himself off on the couch. He LOVES to play ball and if you aren't in the mood to play he will sit and hit you with it until you give in and throw it.If you dare shut the door when you go in the bathroom he will sound like the most abused dog on the planet.Even though I have a queen size bed,he is sure the best place to sleep is on my legs or with his butt(and not his bro)on my pillow. His by far most annoying thing though is that he is a 117lb chicken sh*t.That boy is afraid of his own shadow.A few weeks ago he tried to race past me thru the laundry room and wiped out, after that he was afraid to walk back thru there. He would stand at the edge of the doorway and bark,no matter what time of day it was.Even with all that and plenty more you couldn't buy him for a million bucks ;D

Brannigan poos on the verandah outside if he can't get down to the backyard.  This is bad because quite often it's sort of drippy and our verandah (I live in a pole home) has reeded decking so I need to scrape it out of all the little grooves in the wood.  He also poos under our fruit trees: not nice if you are out there in the half light trying to get some limes or something!  He also wipes his eye slime on us (albeit affectionately).

As a trainer, I found this thread fascinating as it totally mirrors the primary reason I get calls--the dog is Alpha over the humans.

Zita just started that pawing/nosing thing, which is a total no no, and it took almost 2 weeks before she figured out that nothing good happened when she did it.  I think it was the cup of coffee that got dumped on her face that finally did the trick.

Alphas get to initiate contact.  The pawing is a contact initiation and dogs don't get to do that.  This week Zita is invisible to me unless she is sitting.

Sparky's most annoying new habit was not calling to be let out for morning potties.  He discovered it is cold outside.  It was in the low 60s again this morning!  Now he is being taken out at 3 am. and again at 6 am. and the housebreaking issues seems to be over.

Great thread!

Keiko's most annoying habit is that she's a food hound.  And my dad has made her (and the others) much worse by feeding them table scraps every day.  :P  I'm constantly tripping over someone in the kitchen.  Luckily they know I won't give them anything unless I call them so an "out" is all they need to leave me alone.  She also has a bad habit that whenever she is annoyed at being left alone or thinks she needed to go out/come with/be fed before I leave......... ..she will go thru the trash in the bathrooms.  Luckily she doesn't do it so often anymore, well she is also more prone to it during the "special time of the month"  ::)

Gunther feels the need to bark at everything.  Dog outside?  Bark.  Squirrel?  Bark.  Falling leaf?  Bark, bark bark.  He was so well trained too until we moved here and my sister's dog is horrible about barking.  Luckily he will listen to me to be quiet but apparently no one else is that special....... ....lol.  He is also scared of everything.... ....mostly plastic and paper bags.........l ol.  Oh, and balloons, he hates those.  He outgrew the give paw thing when a pup, but if you're trying to give him a belly rub, he will swing a paw in your face.  He is learning "no paw" for this one as well but it's almost as if he can't help himself....... ......lol.  :D

Nigel has the most annoying bad habit.  He marks in the house.  I have worked extensively with him on this to no avail.  Of course it doesn't help that sis' dog mentioned earlier also marks in the house......... .yes, he's shown bad habits all around to my crew.  >:(  He knows not to go in front of you and I've tried belly bands (none fit), leashing him (again won't go when you're there) and kenneling him (don't like doing that all day).  I've now boughten him spiderman little boy underpants as well as baby onesies, neither of which fit him right I'll need to find a way to make them work.  Doesn't help my dad lets him run around loose in the house while he's in the basement...... .....I never allow him to have the run of the house.  Luckily when visiting our new house he made no attempts to mark at all, so hopefully it will end when I officially move.  He also jumps on  you.  Well, not on me he knows to sit but everyone else.  He will listen if you tell him "off" but 2 seconds later he's at it again.  Of course it would help if my mom and sis would follow thru with the training I've told them to with him instead of just yelling "off, off, off, off" or in my mom's case saying it softly and quiet.  Like he's going to listen to that!  And when he gets too excited he will jump and nip you at the same time, but seems to do this only to my sister........ .lol.

Posey is also a jumper but not as annoying b/c she's smaller.  Again she knows not to do this to me. Her more annoying habit is that when she gets scared or thinks she's in trouble, you cannot approach her or she will pee.  She's done this since a puppy.  Even if you're yelling at someone else and not her, she thinks she's in trouble too.   ::)  She also will put anything and everything in her mouth.  We've had some scares with her on that one........... .eating pantyliners mostly (she wears them in her undies when in heat)...........lol .  She is also the master destuffer of toys.......as well as Gunther's now destuffed sleeping bag/bed.

Here, I ignore the big dogs when they nose for attention and will leave the room with them dog gated inside if they don't stop the nosing fast.  When I come back in, I call them to me since they will be doing that anyway cus they loooove me and it makes them think they are doing stuff because they were told to.  They get the Sit command which they then perform, a brief pause that gets longer every time, and then they get the verbal reward and the petting and kisses, etc.

After the Sit For Attention command is mastered, I have them do a Down, then transition to a Down, Stay and I pet them with my feet.  Zita is not pleased about it, but as I type she is laying under the desk getting tummy petting.

Wally, hubby's Italian Mastiff, gets to nose him since hubby thinks it is cute.  She also paws him for attention, but very gently, which he also thinks is cute.  Once in a while she will try that with me and I am sure she wonders why she gets no attention for it.

It is VERY cute considering this is the dog that caused warnings to be issued by hubby if he was going to enter the room Wally was in since she would run blindly in terror and trample anyone or anything in her effort to get away from him.  She hit one of the portable dog fences so hard her first week here that she dented it and it wasn't attached to anything.  Now she cries if the petting isn't to her specifications .

Some background on why I am so strict on that one...back in the 1980s I trained a huge dog to stop that behavior after he nosed the baby out of Mama's arms and then walked on him just a little bit.  Sparky Chihuahua gets carried a lot here, and I don't want him to fall.  We also have a lot of expensive, portable electronic equipment that works better unslobbered.

The most annoying thing Zita does is taking every possible inch of the bed if I get up in the night.  We are working on a command called Move for that.  It's nice now that it is cold but it probably won't be as nice once it is summertime.

Keela's only bad habit is jumping on my bed when i'm almost asleep and sitting on my head. She HAS to lay at the head of the bed with me...can't lay at the foot.

and well she's kind big to be doing that on a TWIN bed... 90 lbs of husky mix do NOT need to be sitting on my head...and if my cat is on the pillow next to me...she'll sit on him! The funny thing about that is that the cat stays and meows at me to help him!

Great thread! I'm reading on and on and wishing I could write something great. I have 2 Shar-Peis, one that is a BIG girl! I gotta tell you tho, they don't beg for food, don't slobber, don't bark much, don't walk in mudd or even like to walk when it rains so they don't track in water, they don't chew my shoes, they don't jump on people and aren't needy, I think the thing that annoys me most is that I have to beg them for THEIR attention instead of the other way around. Is that normal?

zero farts alot, and it stinks. also i like to refer to him as Stewie from Family guy..u all know that episode when he is in the room "Lois, lois, lois, Mum mum mum, mummy, mummy, mumma, mumma, mom, mom, mom" she gets mad and yells WHAT, and he says hi and runs away? Well, if u arent paying attention to him he will Moan and groan and his moans sound like hes saying "Ma, or mum" and he will keep it up and when u answer back, he will walk away. LOL.
Jigsaw pulls these upset tummy fits sometimes. and she will jump on u and cry and cry. we think cuz her tummy is gassy she gets upset...
Reba POOPS and PEES in the house still. and that is annoying as he-llo! she also howls and stomps her feet. i swear to u, for a 10lbs dog, she walks heavier than our 185lbs of Memphis...
Memphis will cry and cry and cry, just cuz...he also goes into the garbage (and we have LOCKING lids that he manages to open) hmm, i think thats about all?

 >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Bryce has a bad habit of marking anything i wear when i am doing house checks for rehoming my pups. Since his mouth is so large when he has found a cat toy and is chewing on it i ask him what he has and he will look at me like who me with a straight face. When calling him to come inside he will hide behind a small tree in the back yard like i can't see him. He is very very protective of me in the car and the whole car shakes when he is barking i can feel it through my body.  :o :o :o :o :o :o

Freya  Thinks she is the boss of the 2 boys and rides them when they do not listen to me.She is a angel compared to the boys when she was little she would do anything to eat the butter. I pulled into the driveway at my old house and i could see her standing on the kitchen table eating the butter.

Milo always looking to see if the lid is off the garbage he is a cry baby until he gets him way. Which is most of the time who needs to hear that.Milo is very bull headed he knows what you would like him to do he just does'nt think it applies to him.

Still love them !

I thought I would update this to reflect some brand new annoying behaviors we have just thought up to torture Mommy.

Lately when Gwen goes outside, (mostly she pulls this one at like 3:00 in the morning), she will just stand there at the top of the porch.  Unless I actually see her go down off the porch into the yard, she will still be standing on the porch when I return from my own late night bathroom break.  Seeing both dogs standing on the porch, I will then naturally assume that they are both empty and ready to come inside.  It is only THEN that Gwen will remember that she was supposed to be out there for a reason and not just taking the night air and saunter down off the porch to do her incredibly slow, snail-paced business.  This will give Ranger plenty of time to run into the bedroom and plant himself in the middle of my warm bed as I stand and wait for Gwen to finish.

I also discovered today that at the groomer, (I usually groom him at home myself), Ranger turns from a dog into a 100-lb sack of wet flour.  He didn't growl, he didn't bite - he just lay there completely bonelessly on the floor with all four legs and his tail pulled up underneath him like a turtle as the groomer and I struggled for 3 hours to maneuver his limp, completely uncooperative weight into various positions.  He also WHINED like a baby (which I have never heard him do) when he couldn't get out of the tub and come to me while Gwen was being dried.  They both look gorgeous, but Mommy needs a drinkie!

Someone please remind me again why I want another dog someday...   ;D

Oh boy, where do I start?

Sammie is the angel. He doesn't do ANYTHING that annoys me... besides digging in the trash. He only does it when there is something YUMMY right near the top and I leave him out of the crate when I'm not home. He also nudges, but that is only annoying when i'm at the computer.

Bailey marks everything.  >:( And refuses to eat occasionally.  :-\

Sky is actually pretty well behaved for a 18 month old Aussie pup. Which makes him a TERROR to the rest of the world ::) He eats socks (only clean ones) and BARKS. When I say barks, I don't mean a couple yips or the occasional howl. He has to constantly be saying something. If we're at the dogs park, and everything is quiet, he will start barking. If another dog joins in, he stops. He just wants someone to be barking, it doesn't have to be him. If we are at Flyball practice and everyone is barking, he is silent. As soon as the noise of the other dogs stops, he starts. He will just bark and bark for HOURS if I don't give him something better to do. And by "better" I don't mean a PB stuffed Kong. The ONLY thing better than barking for him is jumping. It has to be something involving jumping. I guess this is also pretty annoying. He jumps over the couch (yes, the entire couch) over the other dogs, over me, when the dryer door is down, he jumps over that. The other day I heard this wild ruckus going on in the kitchen, and I turn the corner to see Sky jumping up and pouncing on his metal food bowl. While barking, mind you.  :D Sky also snatches food off the counters. It doesn't even have to be a food he likes. He will just take it, slobber it up, and spit it out on the floor.  ???

Let's see.  Jake's is the most annoying of my bunch.  He is also the newest and is still coming to terms with his separation anxiety.  He is now going to the bathroom MOST of the time in the yard, but maybe once a week or so, when we both leave, he will jump the half wall into the dining room, bark like crazy and leave me a pile on the floor.  It used to happen up to twice a day, so he is definitely getting better.  Once he quits completely, we are changing the carpet.  I have worn it out cleaning it constantly.  Max comes next with his constant counter surfing.  I learned early on that there is no such thing as having anything on my kitchen counters that he can't reach, so we are working on breaking him of the habit.  He is to the point that he just stands and sniffs, if we are home.  When we aren't, there is nothing left out.  It is hard when I do a lot of baking to keep everything back out of his standing reach.  Cody realy has no annoying habits.  He is my saint of a dog, moveable rug really.
