I invite everyone to Newfoundland and Labrador for the ultimate meet and greet. Where the neighbours are always sure to offer a helping hand to those in need. Where everyone is greeted with open arms. Where if the people don't like big dogs (or small dogs) they just avoid them and do not feel the need to tell the owners what to do with them. Where the Brinks  armour car drivers were allowed to carry guns before the police officers were. Where every turn greets you with open space, the smell of the ocean and ponds (lakes) by the hundreds.

The weather might not be the best but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. There's campgrounds right inside the city!! Enough room for everyone!!

On your way here, you can bask in the hospitality of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Dinner time at my place was hectic today. I left work to go home to dinner and take my daughter to get her 1 year needles today and what a day it turned out to be. Just as I was walking out the front door to start the van up, I could feel an intense heat (it was pouring rain out and only 3 degrees) from the house next door! The house next door to me was on fire, and it is only 6 feet from my place. I ran back in my house and started evacuating (me, my wife, 3 kids, a boarder and her 8 month old kid and Angus). First I got my 2 oldest children (4 and 6) to get thier boots and jackets on as I put Angus in the backyard, then took tose 2 kids next door to the drugstore (I live right next to a drugstore). By the time I got back (20 seconds) I had to go in the backdoor and tell everyone else to go out that way as the flames were flicking out the kitchen window right across the front of my house. I grabbed the leash and a few blankets for the kids and we all watched the firemen go to work, from a safe distance away. The house next door is gutted on the inside and holes cut in the roof. Aside from glass in my frontyard and a microwave, no damage to my house. The sad part is that a man and his dog lost thier home today. I'm not sure of the extend of the damage inside, outside is practically damage free. If my neighbour needs a place to stay he knows my door is always open.
Things like this certainly put life into perspective.

It was a dirty day at the park. Check out the sand and slobber. And some shots of Angus playing and waiting his turn at the watering hole.

I'm addicted to the dogpark and the camera. Is there a patch available to cure that?
