Niki looks like a ridgeback in her fact but there is not a drop of it in her.

I am not a breeder and never will be a breeder.  I like to train dogs to be working personal service dogs.  ALL of my dogs have been spayed or neutered and I would never have it different.  It makes me feel sad because Niki just loves pups and when she sees them she will stay all night with them and shake all over with excitement.  She would have been a wonderful mother but alas, never to be.  My experience with ridgebacks is that they are very intelligent and bond easily with their family.  I would love to adopt a ridgeback mix some day, neutered or spayed of course,  and was only curious about dermoid, I have never heard of it.  Twas not a big deal.

I too would love to adopt one.  Tell me more about dermoid.
Thanks

We do the same thing but I don't have a scanner to scan some of my photos.  The funniest one we came across was in New Hampshire on a lake and it read:

PLEASE DON'T FEED THE DUCKS OR SWIMMERS
                            WILL GET SWIMMER'S ITCH

Thanks for sharing

Medical Conditions & Diseases / Re: Evil Foxtail made Bear go to the Vet

But the absolute granddaddy of all nusiance weeds here is the goathead or often just called stickers.  They are all over our roadways this time of year and they are the most painful little bugger you have ever encountered.  When the plant is mature these small round blobs emerge that have thorns on them just as sharp as any rose thorn.  They are low plants and if you are walking it is easy to step on one because the stickers move away from the plant and you can't always see them.  They get stuck to your shoe and you don't realize it then they can get drug into your house and embedded in the carpet.  Then you walk across it with bare feet and WHAM does that ever hurt!!!!!  Niki doesn't realize that they come from a plant so she just trudges right into them and gets them stuck all over her paws.  At that point she can't move at all without terrible pain so she waits patiently for us to lift her paw and remove them.  They do not really cause other serious problems like foxtails and I have never seen infections caused by them.  They are just a BIG nusiance.  Anybody else encounter these?

HaHa, I never heard that one before.  But what do I know, my mother made me stay out of the pool for an hour after I ate, and I did it.  I will look it up on urban myths.  ;D

Poor Bear.  Foxtails are nasty especially in the Spring.  They work their way in and in and have a hard time coming out.  I have had them get in nose and vet has to get them out with long tweezers.  Sure hope it is out but I know Bear is getting good care.

hahaha - I would like to know where you get the information that fish have a 3 second memory? What scientific journal does that come from and what method did they use to determine it?  All sorts of things can come to mind.  :-\ :-\ :-\

Jasper is beautiful.  Welcome.  The warning is:  General Patton has determined that this website is addictive.  Use it at your own risk but be aware that your housework, dirty dishes, floors and windows are going to suffer from severe neglect due to your lack of desire to tend to them while posting and reading on this site.  Good Luck

Looks like hives to me.  Ringworm is round and does not look like that at all.  I would suspect some sort of food allergy that your other dogs don't have.  Just my own educated by experience guess.  The vet will know for sure.
