:'(Wish I could help...I'm in Oregon.  Unfortunatly, too far for me to go. :(
I haven't been out there looking, but want an XL male OEM or Saint.  I've been just waiting for him to just "come along"... when it's suppose to happen.  I want another rescue or a big boy that someone doesn't want anymore.
There are too many pets that are discarded.

Mika does something similar... she'll "lay" across the back of the couch w/a back foot resting on the sitting area of the couch.  Or she'll do just the opposite and leave her front feet on the couch w/a rear leg over the back of the couch and her rear resting up on the back.  Silly girl :D, anything for attention.

Will he???

We just bought a 2003 Buick Rendevouz - finally I'm not a minivan Mom!  (but I could have thought up better ways of getting one rather than crash the van!  :o)

Hubby is afraid that Teddy might have trouble with the bigger jump to get in.  Its a crossover SUV/minivan so it shouldn't be that bad but..........????

Anyone have any trouble betting their Big paws into Big vehicles?

We have an '03 Ford crew cab (4x4) w/ canopy.  The girls don't have a problem "hopping" in or out.  Before we lost Appollos (RIP), we had to help him in.  He had Wobblers and wasn't able to jump/hop into anything.  He or we'd help, place his front paws up and then hoist his back-end up into the truck.  When he got out, we'd grab his collar and throw an arm under him.  When he was ready, he'd step out and we'd guide him down.  He weighed about 129lbs and approx. 31" tall... he was tall and thin!
I haven't tried them, but I know there are those ramps for "taller" vehicles.  I keep this in mind for when they (and us) get older and for when we find our next big boy...an Old English or Saint?!?!?!!

Love that dog!  I've seen him before, but the story about him is great... very heart warming.

I love your "Brindle Bunch"... I guess you actually need 3 more for a "Bunch".  They look like they thought it was worth the trip. :) :D

I'm sorry for your loss :'(

I believe that your new Newfie was meant to be with you.  It's weird (and for others, hard to understand) how things are meant to be, but you two are destined to be together...for each other.

This is the place to find others who understand the "drool", etc.  We all deal w/ friends and family that don't or won't understand our love for fur-family members and all it entails.  Enjoy Polly! :)

While we're on the topic of wierd things dogs do, do any of you have to let the dog out to get a drink of water?  We have a full, clean water bowl in the house but they much prefer to drink out of the one outside.  They'll stand at the door to go out, get a drink, then want to come back in.  I stuck a bowl outside when Carter was up here for so long this summer.  I'm hoping they'll drop the bad habit once the water turns to ice out there  :o

oops!...here's my reply:
Mika loves the water out of the bathroom sink.  The girls have a water "thingy" attached to the faucet outside, but she will go out of her way to come into the house and stand in front of the bathroom sink until we turn it on.  She's such a princess. ;D

My big girls do that too! ...and I'll let you guys in on a little secret... Mika wants to be close by all the time, and if I leave the bathroom door open, she will sit on my lap. She just thinks it's the same as if I'm sitting on the couch!   ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D :o :o  :-\ :-\ ;D :D :D
