I'm so sorry for your loss.  People just don't expect that a pet's death, especially a sudden one, will have such a profound effect on them. :'(

My Airedale/Lab mix Beau had cancer and his death was not sudden but when it was time to let him go, it was excruciating, even though I knew he was suffering and couldn't let it go on.  This was over a year ago and my son still gets teary-eyed when he sees a picture of Beau.

Time will help heal but you will never forget them.

People can be SO...I don't know because I can't come up with a strong enough word for STUPID that I can say here...

Rotties are such sweetie, UNLESS their owner is a moron.  Most rotties I've seen just kind of lumber along and proceed to slobber all over you when you pet them.

While I think the CGC certification is a good idea on one hand, what if a dog can't pass it?  They may be a perfectly good and sweet dog but just not be able to sit still and pass the CGC test.  Does this mean they have to be rehomed or the owner have to move?

You guys are the BEST!  Yeah, we decided that we were still technically on vacation so we haven't told anyone we are back.  Our house is now our hotel.   :D
We feel much better tonight after a night of no insect assault, and are actually enjoying lounging around in the yard.  Last night we stoked up the barbeque and had 2 of the steaks we marinaded for the trip.  All is not lost!
 8) :D

I love when you can sneak home and nobody knows!  It's almost like a hotel, only without the maid service.

Glad you're making the best of what sounded like a BAD situation!

People are SO stupid!  This type of stuff just grates my nerves.  Dogs read body language and actions and turning and running is gonna get you bit in the butt at the worst and chased by my "big" white dog (okay out in the REAL world, he's considered a big dog but on here he's borderline mojo at 76 lbs! :D) and possibly knocked down because he thinks you're playing.

When my 4 yr old goddaughter was just tiny and we didn't have a dog, I taught her that she has to ask before she can pet any dog.  Now her 2 yr old sister is doing the same.  I've also taught them that they can't run up to a dog, they have to approach slowly. It's never too early to teach them these things.

If I can avoid them being bitten by teaching basic manners and common dog sense, I will do what is necessary.  I just wish all parents would do the same.

I spent forever working on my MySpace I go to look today and someone has hacked it... http://www.myspace.com/angeleyes91086 I can't stand people like that  >:( I had to vent before I blew up :P Could anyone go to the link and let me know if it works for them? I wrote the people who run the site to let them know so they would fix it. Thanks for listening to my random vent.

OMG!  That is horrible!  Jerks!  They'd better not do that to my account! www.myspace.co m/zanieness

Hi and welcome.  I am Amy and I am owned by Dell, a white shepherd/lab mix.

I'm sorry you are having a hard time.  I hope the vets visit goes as well as possible.  You are in my thoughts.

Your Magic is beautiful.  I hope you'll share more pics of him with us.

You should have gotten her license plate and from that gotten her home address so you could send her a fresh bag of poo every so often.  Maybe it would remind her to train her pup!
Thats me, always thinking of others...
 :) ;D :)
HMMMM I feel some strange kinship with this stinky fingered lady, I wonder if she compulsively sniffed her hands all the way home, to see if they still stunk?
 :D :) ;D ;)
OHOHOH you could put a note on the poo that said, "the universe wants you to have this poo as a gentle reminder to train your pupper"
 ;D ::)

 ;D ;D ;DBWAHAHAHAHA!!!  You are too funny, Ronda! ;D ;D ;D

I thought of you the other day when I was cleaning up poo at the dog park and just as I was about to grab it, I noticed a hole in the bag!  I said to Hubby, "Man, I'd hate to have to walk around smelling my fingers all day!"  He didn't get it but I was borderline hysterical!

Well, that tears it!  I'm going to have to see it tonight.  I told hubby that we had to see it this weekend but I have firmly decided that it will be tonight!

:D  Well, I guess SOMEONE should learn to control her spastic dog and he wouldn't get the bounce, would he???!  AND I have to tell you that the image of her running her hand across her dog and getting a poo smear on it is KILLING me!  I really shouldn't laugh out loud at work but it's so hard not to with that image.

;D  I love, love, love the "ears back, running as fast as possible" pics.

Do they really go down the slide?

She is so sweet!  I had two English cockers, a black roan named Maymie and a liver roan named Duke, mother and son.

Aside from my pup that owns me now, they were the best dogs!  Maymie was so loyal and loving and Duke was a spitfire from day one, but never any trouble whatsoever.

Awwwww...I'm envious now...
