Mixed Breed Discussion / Re: anyone know much about Doodles?
« on: May 21, 2006, 12:09:59 pm »
I'd love to hear more about them if anyone is knowledgeable.  I'm specifically wondering if there is much difference (temperment or appearance) between a glodendoodle and a labradoodle. Maybe the hybrid is too new for any conclusions like that..

ummmmmmmm
sorry, but they are mutts not pure breed and if the status of a very expensive mutt keeps going  , maybe ill start breeding poodles with????and ill be rich, a standard poodle is a great dog, do is the golden  , why mix them up. ive been at breeding, showing the rhodesian ridgeback for over 20 years, and it took me a very long time to produce great ridgeback, knowing the pedigrees, all the bloodlines, to meet and exceeed the AKC standard. so i guess ill get a poodle and have ridge-a-roodles???? I THINK NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Newfoundland Discussions / Re: Turning brown?!

If it really bothers you, you can spray a protector on her coat.   We use 'Color.smart' on Chester if we know he's going to be in the sun all day.  You can find hair color protectors in the hair care section of most drug stores!!

i knew someone that fed her newf eukanuba, check your dog food, make sure no beet pulp in it  , after she stoped that food, he went black, and on to win in the shows. he had a red hue in his coat, a nono on black newfs, that show

hope this helps  but jbear knows best on this subject

do newfs come in brown??? also?

Rhodesian Ridgeback Discussions / Re: Ridgeback mixed with what?
« on: May 01, 2006, 08:13:27 pm »
He looks pretty full breed to me, just not to "standard" with that extra white.  Is he ridgeless?  I've seen full Ridgies that look a lot like him.  Here's a picture of my Ridgeback Play Group.

over 2 years ago, they have revised the WHITE, it is not undersirable, any more  i have seen many RR's  with what you would call, too much white, champion.
it's all in the conformation of the dog.NOT THE COLOR
the ONLY D Q is no ridge, a missing or more then  2 crowns, except for, i have bred and championed RR.s with a small swirl ontop of the head. also, saw an amazingly beautiful dog, ridge going down his front side, with also having a beautiful ridge on his back, take a best of breed, he was that well put together!!!!!!  this revision comes from RRCUS
a bit more white does not take away from the beauty of the ridgeback, actually, it can really look beautiful, and very flashy looking in the ring. i guess we are going back to the original type color of the african ridgebacks.  this is wonderful, so many show prospects were sold as pet , because of white, yippie for our whit footed ridgebacks!!!!!
