I've been missing a lot due to a lot of changes in my life, but now I am back with some pics of the new star of the house: Arex.
He is the son of Carlos and he seems he'll have greater succes in shows than his father. Well, we surely hope so.

General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Please help

This morning I saw Carlos threw up, and i am worried because he does this extremely rarely. I feed him twice a day: in the morning only a little bit just before I go to work and the main meal in the evening. The main meal is 400-500 gr of Purina Pro Plan Junior (because he prefers small crocks) and in the mornings he gets smth else, usually some BARF.
Last 2 evenings he ate more than usually but I didn't get concerned and now I consider a visit to the vet. He is active and happy like usual but the whole thing got me scared since I'm such an over-protective "mom".

Someone has been in this before? Please help me with some advice.
I didn't see him throwing up, I only saw the pile and it was almost half of what he ate last night, not very well digested...

Is it ok or should I really freak out?

Alaskan Malamute Pictures / My sweet boy Carlos

I just found a pic of my sweet boy Carlos. It was taken after winning his class at a dogshow here in Romania. We're all so proud of him!

Now that I finally understood how to post pictures, I'll put more next week from home (I'm at work now and all the pics are in the other comp, at home)

Best of wishes to everyone,

Now we live at a house that has a normal gate that you can't be seen from outside, but we'll move away to another that has bars and I'm afraid my dog could be poisoned because I had some arguments with my neighbours and I don't want to risk.

I'm afraid that when I'll be at work someone may throw some yamy food with poison in it.
Please advise me how I teach my 4 yr old Mal to eat only from his own bowl.

Introduce Yourself to the Forum / Hello from Europe, Romania

Hello from Europe, Romania!
I just discovered this forum the other days and I was so glad to see so many BPO lovers around here. I always loved big dogs  ;)

My name is Adriana and my big furry bear is Carlos, a 4 yr old male Alaskan Malamute. He has been with us since he was 7 weeks old. He's made me love this breed and I plan on having another mal maybe next year or so, I have to do a lot of searching and also waiting, coz I want a true show quality dog, the best I can find. I plan on participating at dogshows around Europe and, who knows, maybe World Dog Shows each year.  ::)

As you may have guessed, I love showing and I'd rather show for the next couple of yrs, ... breeding is not a priority for me now, since there's a lot to find out and also a lot of money to invest in the whole thing, for best results  :)

Hope to share a lot of info with you all  :D

Hello to all of you, I am happy to find this forum.
I live in Romania, Europe and I am the proud owner of Carlos, a 4-year-old male Alaskan Malamute.
Together we discovered the amazing world of dogshows, that we fell in love with. Winning (mostly) and losing, but always having fun. Carlos is a Junior Champion and a Romanian Champion also and we plan on enlarging our family with a excelent quality female, maybe next year.

On March 8 it's his 4th anniversary and I plan on making him a great surprise. Any ideas?
