  Those are great shots. They really make you realize just how big he is, as do the pictures of Angus with the Dane. He really is beautiful. I hope Duncan grows up to be like him...and Bear...and Fumble...and.. .

newfoundlands are not supposed to be HUGE read the breed standard, 100-120 for females and 130-150 for males, i rarely see 180 pounders that are balanced and have endurance, rarely, if ever.
my guys average in these ranges for many reasons, i find the balance and health and endurance and energy level to be perfect within those ranges, anything over that and you will find that things will fall apart much sooner.

Angus turned 1 year old on May the 11th. He is a big boy, I have to get around to measuring him and weighing him very soon. I can still feel his ribs and he is full of energy!! And ya, what a coat of fur he has!! Of course he needs every bit of it as this is Newfoundland, land of 4 seasons, Winter... Early Winter... late Winter and Summer.
