My 7 yr. old daughter with her first rescue, Alice...

Here is Missy with Alice who is the kitten she rescued yesterday after her great grandpa's funeral...Miss y has agreed to take full responsibility of Alice & is even paying for food, toys & vet bills...Today was Alice's first vet visit & Missy was short 12.75 for the bill so I payed the balance & she is doing house work to work off the balance with me...I am so proud of her! :)

What a wonderful (and FUN!!) lesson in responsibilty! All my kids have/had their own cats from about your daughter's age.  And two of them (cats!!) are still with us!
