The hot pavement

When going out, how hot can the dog's paws stand? If i have to take her for a full day, what temp. is too hot for her?

I treat my dogs like my kids and use the same rules for both of them. If it is too hot for me, it is too hot for them. If I wouldn't want to hit the pavement barefooted, neither should they.

I  agree if it's too hot for your feet it's probably too hot for them.Magic taught me the hard way and colasped on the sidewalk .We hadn't gone that far,but his feet were just too hot so he used his furry body to insulate himself.Dummy me I thought he had a heat stroke.Almost broke my back carrying him home.

We go out early in the mornings or in the evenings or find shady places to walk.and if I can't find one he always does.

I agree with all of the above. If it is to hot outside for you then it is to hot for them. When Bear was really little he'd actually cry when just a few paws touched the ground during the summer.
