I am a member of another forum where a member was looking to rehome her Irish Wolfhound because he had a severe disability that required surgery that she could not afford. Several members rallied support for this dog and the owner, and provided ample opportunity for the dog to recieve treatment at NO cost to her, which she refused?
It is suspected, but not verified, that the dog was released to Gentle Giants Rescue in Norco, CA, though no one is 100 percent sure.
If anyone hears of an Irish Wolfhound showing up in any shelter or rescue organization in ANY state or even Canada, please let me know. There are several people willing to give this dog a forever home, and all are concerned and want to know that he has not be put to sleep.
Especially if anyone knows of a wheaten wolfhound in a shelter, could you please relay a link or phone number my way so that a call can be made? Due to his disability and the cost of surgery, most shelters would likely euthanize him quickly, and it would be a tragedy for this to happen, as so many people are looking for him and willing to help.
It is possible that a older rough coated Saint Bernard female is with him.

Thanks guys.
