when we built our house in missouri, it was a brand new subdivision, and fences were looked down on. they HAVE TO BE white or wood, no chain link....for about 2 years, everyone had invisible fences and it looked GREAT! my whole area of the neighborhood was visible, and beautiful. all the dogs stayed in their yards (who had invisible fences that is), and it worked out great. another plus to my neighborhood was a crazy man....who would shoot any dog (BBgun), that came on his street without a leash in an owners hand. that greatly helped people to keep their dogs on leash, or in their yards. then, thses a holes put up an UGLY UGLY wooden fence, and all heck broke loose. from there, 5 other people in our back yard area put up fences, and it looked a mess. this one retard, built a white fence, but for about a 20 ft protion of it, attached it to a wooden fence to save money, so it looks terrible! now there is a combo of fences, and invisible fences. if i move home, im building a wooden one to keep in my monsters.
for being a "nice" neighborhood, that doesn't allows sheds, visible dishes, front yard fences, grass above 7 inches alll that stuff...they sure underestimated what trash people could make our neighborhood with different colored fences and all that. looks terrible! for that reason, i LOVE invisible fences. although they aren't nearly as fullproof as the real deal.
