Sewing coats for the Giant Chihuahuas :)
« on: September 23, 2007, 11:42:35 am »
I think it is CRAZY how much they charge for coats. So I decided to see what I could come up with. This is my first one, it isn't really for the cold winter months...I had a fake leather dog jacket and used it for a pattern. I had some fabric here and was able to make a "sherpa" style coat. Here is Miss Gracie modeling it for me.:

You know what - that is really cool looking...and honestly, no offense, just MHO, I think clothes for dogs are dorky... But I would totally put that on Tani. It'll be cooler in Santa Rosa when we move in November - let me know if you start making them!! (She likes black - she's all sexy like that!)

It didn't take very long. I messed up cutting it out, LOL so I had to "improvise" a bit. :) then the sewing machine was acting up. if everything would have went smoothly, it would have taken an hour. I would love to have a fancy little dog shop...my brothers girlfriend and I could run it. We could cook fancy treats, sell clothes and stautes, etc. I would have to find a place to do it where there is a market for it though, BFE Ohio isn't exactly "shiek". LMAO Also all those type place seem to cater to the mini dogs, it would be nice to have Big Paw clients.
