Irresponsible people will not confess to their actions. They are always right! In their own minds. I would just hope that future members of this site will realize that the reasons we love our dogs is becauase of their temperment, and how they fit in with our families. It doesn't matter if they are not 'perfect' to the breed standard in conformation, but they have to be perfect for our lifestyle and our expectations of them. And I know that we do our best to make our dogs 'good citizens', so we can all walk proud and tall with our dog by our side.
IMHO, people who push the limits of responsible breeding practices are pimps and whores, and they deserve to be stoned. (And not in the "Fun" way!")
ALL of my dogs have been rescues, almost all have been mixed breeds, (My Lab, Lucy, was AKC papered, that didn't make her any less a Bonehead!)
Stay away from the 'RARITIES', they will bring you nothing but grief!
Research your Breeder for a purebred pup. Know the standard for the breed. Be Ready to deal with the issues.
Be prepared!
If Red were still here, I know that she would agree with me. We all get the dog that we deserve, it just depends on how hard we are willing to work.
