Zena showing signs of labor
« on: March 08, 2006, 06:34:09 pm »
Zena is showing signs of labor.  We think the pups will be here by the weekend.  Anyone have any advise?  I am just very anxious.

Stay calm, cool, and collected. don't give up on any of the pups if they don't breathe right away, but give attention to the other pups too. RELAX! everything will be fine. and BTW! congrats, and enjoy it!

Thanks for all the advise.  She is walking around the house panting like crazy, anyone know how long after the panting starts?  I do have plenty of help with the cleaning of the pups and all, we have 6 kids.  We do have the vet ready to go if we need him.
Thanks, Chris

Best of luck - how is the expectant Mom doing?  How is the rest of the family doing?

Fingers crossed!!!

Zena still has not had the puppies yet, I sure hope it will be soon.  She sure seems ready and she is due today.  So keep your fingers crossed!!

Have you brought her to the vet? It would proabably be a good idea to have her checked out. Please keep us posted ;)

Yes she has been to the vet and he we were right on with her due date and she has 7 pups that we could count. She has just been laying around today, but last night she was restless.  The pups are moving like crazy.
