I guess the big things do hit you at random times.
Due to a weird series of events that my bank started, my landlord now knows that I have my cats. A little background: I didn't really choose to live here; I was buying a condo and the seller's agent said dogs were okay. I found out three days being signing that they weren't and had to find a place by the end of that week as my old place was leased out.
As luck would have it, I was looking for a roommate on Craigslist this weekend, something I never really considered. I found a guy willing to let me move in with my 2 dogs and three cats, in exchange for caring for his dog when he's on business trips. I was unsure, but when my apt called me today, I emailed him asking him if we can go ahead with it.
Here's the issue: I have 2 foster cats... long-term fosters. They were both semi-feral when I found them. My ex can't take them, also due to lease issues. I have had them for three years, b/c we were unable to place them as youngsters. They are loving and once they've warmed up to their people, you'd never know that they were skittish. Apollo is a 14-pounder with crazy fur that gets mats no matter what. He has a funny nasal thing going on that makes his breathing sound odd at times, but the vet says it's okay. He is a lover and a talker; he's a long-hair tabby with a white streak on his face, white on his chest, and white paws. He has a cute pink nose. His meow is like a cry. My Wicky is a 6-pound long-hair tabby. She has fur as soft as a rabbit. One of her eyes is totally blue from something that happened before we found her. She also has a tipped ear, b/c we didn't know she was tame and had her spayed as a feral. She is a lover baby. She will sit on your lap and knead for forever if you let her. She lost her brother, Sammy (I wrote about this in another thread last night) last year, but she does well with Apollo.
I never pictured myself in this situation-trying to find them a home so quickly. They are indoor cats, have their claws and must stay that way. They are my babies and I may be able to find a temporary situation for them here, but I'm putting this up as a plea, if any of you know of the right home for these sweeties, please let me know. I have to move asap (like this weekend), and don't really know where to go from here. It's going to be expensive and a mess. I'm sorry to ramble, but I'm lost right now.
