How's Daisy doing? Did you figure out a benadryl dose? I have some itchy dogs here too... we just had a flea outbreak! :o In the middle of winter!! I hate to see the dogs itching. :-[

Let us know how she's doing. :)

With your dog's dominant personality, I think adding another more submissive dog would be great for you guys. :) I am a big believer in dogs as pack animals, like birds are flock animals. We have a pack here at my house and they are so fulfilled as dogs, you can just see it. I love it.

And as for the odd myth that if you get two dogs, they will bond more with each other than with you? That's nonsense. Even with this great pack of dogs I have here, I am still the most important thing in their world, and each dog still needs individual attention and love from me every day. I am like their queen, lol. It's good for the ego! :D ;)

Good luck in your decision!!!! I recommend a rescue! ;) ;D

I don't have any idea on a name, sorry! You will know when you find the right one!!! :D

are you starting to like him??   ;)  he sure is pretty, but i don't think axle would take to an older guy around.  poor guy looks like he's had it rough, it says he's only 4.

I was working on Will last night... ::) ;D If we lived in a bigger house, I would be on my way to get him right now. Our place is... well... we have it filled to the brim with stuff and dogs. And cats.

OMG they are so precious. It looks like the two white-based ones are merlequin? (Merle spots as opposed to black spots like a harlequin?) I wonder if they will be deaf? I have heard that this color has a high incidence of hearing problems...

I really don't know much about genetics.  But wasn't Moose and Brody a 'safe' combination?

Tina

Well... it might depend on whether Brody comes from harlequin and black breeding. I remember that Moose came from a cross of 2 harles (or fawnequin and merle which is essentially two harles) so it could be possible that the pups are carrying double harlequin. Geez I am a rescuer not a breeder! ;) I hope they are fine, but maybe I am thinking one might be deaf because I want a deaf Great Dane..?? There could be ulterior motives in my subconscious here. ::) ;D

OOOOH I can't wait to see these babes as they grow!!!! :D Thanks for posting all the pictures!!!!!!!!

Hehe.. great whelping box! :D I'm sure Brody appreciates you sleeping in there to make sure it's comfy. ;)

I cannot wait to follow these pups' story as they grow! Wouldn't it be cool if a bunch of them went to BPO members! Then we could all watch them grow up! I LOVE PUPPIES!!!! :D :D :D

Aw, Cindy, I'm so sorry!! :-[ Nothin' worse than stitches coming undone!! Can you band-aid the wound together for the time being?? That's what i did when Turkey pulled out some staples one time, and it actually held everything together... until she pulled out the rest of the staples.

Hang in there!!!! Tell your furkids to give you a break after this! ;)
