I think that dogs are an amazing addition to families and that kids should be exposed to dogs.  On the other hand people that do not know how to control their dog should not have dogs, especially not BP.  If their dog ever becomes aggressive towards their daughter they will blame the dog.  It is not the dogs fault!

I don't know how close you are with your neighbors, but I would go and talk to them again. If that doesn't work call animal control. When I was growing up my mom called animal control on a dog that attacked ours, our pup was hurt pretty badly. I don't know what the laws are in your area, but we have leash laws and they recieved a nice fine.  After that they never let the dog loose outside again, he was always on a chain.  I wish I could have taken him out of that home.

We purchased the Ruff Rider as well.  They have a deal for puppies, if you purchase it and say that it is for a puppy they will give you 10% off the next size or 20% if you send the old one back.  We decided to go with the ruff rider because it was crash test rated; it is the only one on the market that is.  We got Maddax the Roadie LX it has padding, but with all his hair and it getting warm he gets to hot.  I think the next time we are going to get the roadie elite.

Meet & Greet BPOers / Re: Cheyenne or Fort Collins?

We would love to!  We are down in Fort Collins at least every other weekend.  Last week we took him into Old Town for some socialization.  I am not sure where some good dog parks are down there.  We saw a park Harmony on the way to the drive in, but we were not sure whether it was a dog park or not?  We would love to know where some were? Thank you for any information and we will definelty have to meet up sometime!

Meet & Greet BPOers / Cheyenne or Fort Collins?

I was curious if anyone here was from Cheyenne WY or Fort Collins CO.  My roommate and I are looking for Maddax to get to know some other big paws.  Right now his friends are  a chihuahua and a shi-tzu.  He is still pretty young, but maybe in the next couple of months.

Lol I think she would really kill me if I got him a gators jersey.  She went to Alabama, I did think about getting him and Auburn or Tennesee jersey as a joke.

That site was great thanks!!

She looks so good in her pack.  I will definitely check out wolfpacks.  He needs something durable to start doing 14ers next summer.  Thanks to everyone for their help, this is my first big paw, but I already know that I will be a big paw owner for life.

I am also the proud mother of Julian (2 year old Black Cat) and Blaine (2 year old tuxedo cat).  They can't wait to meet their new brother.

I was curious about recommendation s about pack types?  I was looking at the Ruff Wear palisades II.  We are planning on taking him hiking with us.  He won't be wearing it this summer because I think that he will still be too young but next year we will begin to add a little weight.  Has anyone used these packs or any other recommendation s?

The one positive about the Ruff Wear pack is that it has water bladders in it, it seems like that would make it easier to balance once he can carry weight.

I am having a hard time finding a jersey that will fit my son.  His dad is 120 lbs I am five foot tall and when he jumped on me he was taller than I was.  I am not sure if anyone has bought one for there pup, but I wasn't sure if I should try and find a dog shirt or buy a real jersey to fit him?  If anyone has bought a real jersey what sizes have you chosen?

Once I figure out the size then the fight begins with what team.  I am a die hard, terrible towel waving, Steelers fan.  My roommate likes the Bucs.

I have owned other dogs in the past, but I will be bringing home my first big boy on Saturday.  I am getting a Bernese Mountain Dog who is already the love of my life.  I was so excited to find this site it is hard to get answers when your son is going to weigh 120 lbs.

My little man's name is Maddax Bjorn (Dax) and the picture is when he was 6 weeks old and already 8lbs.  The other photo is one of Maddax and I.
